摘要： A process and a system for applying insulation and water sealing to roofs such as house trailers includes a sealing strip that fastens completely around the upper wall. This strip seals the edges of successive layers of a first waterproof membrane, a layer of thermal insulation and a second waterproof membrane. The combination provides a layer of thermal insulation completely enclosed in waterproof membranes. This maintains the effectiveness of the insulation by preventing the entry of moisture. The system permits use of readily available, inexpensive materials. The system may be applied by the owner because it requires no special tools or skills.

摘要： Parallel sheet metal roofing pans having upwardly extending sides with inturned flanges along their upper edges are located at opposite sides of a batten that is in the form of an inverted sheet metal channel having spaced sides connected at their upper edges by a web and having outwardly extending supporting flanges along their lower edges projecting beneath the adjoining pans. Each of the channel sides is cut to provide it with a plurality of tongues spaced lengthwise thereof and integrally connected at one end to the side adjacent the channel web. The tongues are bent upward between the channel sides and adjoining pan sides and then hooked around the adjoining pan flanges to anchor the pans to the batten.

摘要： A subframe configuration for a retrofit roof includes a subframe connected to the upper surface of a rib on an existing roof. The subframe is also connected to the valley/purlin of the existing roof. The connection can be a mechanical interference connection or one that is formed by a mechanical connector. The subframe of the disclosure includes a rib flange that extends from the bottom of the lip. The rib flange is disposed substantially parallel to the base of the subframe. When installed, a connector extends through the rib flange into a rib of the existing roof. Rib flange can be continuous or provided only at each or just some of the ribs.

摘要： Embodiments of the invention provide roofing boards and roofing systems having improved fire resistance properties and methods related to the same. According to one aspect, a roofing system is provided. The roofing system includes roofing panels positioned atop structural support members to form a roof deck. Roofing boards are positioned atop the roof deck and coupled thereto and a roofing membrane is positioned atop the roofing boards and coupled therewith. The roofing boards include a coating of a mineral based material applied to one or more surfaces in an amount between the range of about 0.10 lbs/ft2 and about 0.70 lbs/ft2. The mineral based material coating enables the roofing boards to pass the UL 790 class A tests, such as the burning brand test.
