摘要： Insulation panels for wall construction and roofing installation are characterized by inlaid battens in outer faces thereof by which multiple layers of insulation can be installed without thermal bridging. Second and any subsequent layers are each fastened only to the battens of the immediately underlying layer, without fully penetrating therethrough to the roof deck, building wrap or other substrate. Laminated facers of perforated character allow migration of moisture to and from a foam core of the panel, while internal channels and internal slots beneath the facer enable drainage/drying of excess moisture without material degradation of the inlaid battens. Additional drainage space within each layer is provided at inter-panel connections, where tongue and groove connections are configured to leave such drainage space open between the tongue and groove.

摘要： The panel assembly comprises an elongate panel preformed from mineral fibres having a density of not less than 180 kg/m.sup.3 and having two major faces and two longitudinal side edge faces, two elongate metal sections, each comprising a web engaging on one side thereof one of the side edge faces, a first flange at one longitudinal edge of the web and extending at right angles thereto from one side thereof, a second flange at the other longitudinal edge of the web and extending at an inclination thereto from the one side thereof and towards the first flange, and a channel in the web opening to the other side thereof for receiving a vapor seal. The first flange is fitted flush against one major face, the second flange is fitted into a correspondingly inclined first groove extending the full length of the panel and cut into the respective side edge face thereof intermediate the major faces, and the channel is fitted into a corresponding second groove cut into the respective side edge face of the panel intermediate the inclined first groove and the one major face exclusively by sliding the section along the respective side edge of the panel. A metal sheet is placed loosely on the other major face of the panel.

A layer of insulation may be included between the rigid metal securement strips and exterior weather-resistant covering. The outer weather-resistant covering, the layer of insulation, and the metal securement strips can be secured to the corrugated protective layer without disturbing the preexisting structure.

摘要： A roofing panel of glass-reinforced plastic (G.R.P.) or sheet metal is stiffened by longitudinal beams on its underside to span one pitch of a pitched roof from eaves to ridge. It has an outer skin and an inner impervious liner spaced therefrom and supported on the stiffening beams so as to form a tunnel open at both ends and extending from the vicinity of the eaves to theline of the roof ridge, where vents to atmosphere are provided in the outer skin. Air is convected upwards through the tunnel due to the heating of the outer skin by radiation from the sun. At the eaves end the tunnel also has an inlet port communicating with the roof space, and a damper controls the air flowing in from outside the building and the air flowing in from the roof space. At the line of the ridge the liner meets and is sealed on the corresponding liner of a counterpart panel on the opposite pitch of the roof so as to maintain the integrity of the convection air circuit in each section of the roof. A heat exchanger located in the tunnel transfers heat from the convected air to a hot water system in the building. A hollow box girder spans the width of the panel across the beams so as to rest on the top of a flank wall of the building and can be filled with concrete to anchor the panel in position.

摘要： Embodiments of the invention provide roofing boards and roofing systems having improved fire resistance properties and methods related to the same. According to one aspect, a roofing system is provided. The roofing system includes roofing panels positioned atop structural support members to form a roof deck. Roofing boards are positioned atop the roof deck and coupled thereto and a roofing membrane is positioned atop the roofing boards and coupled therewith. The roofing boards include a coating of a mineral based material applied to one or more surfaces in an amount between the range of about 0.10 lbs/ft2 and about 0.70 lbs/ft2. The mineral based material coating enables the roofing boards to pass the UL 790 class A tests, such as the burning brand test.

摘要： A roof system is provided including a roof deck and a first waterproofing membrane disposed upwardly adjacent the roof deck. A channel member is arranged over a portion of the first waterproofing membrane near a perimeter of the roof system. The channel member is secured to the roof deck with a plurality of fasteners. Insulation is arranged upwardly adjacent the first waterproofing membrane A weighted cover board is disposed on top of the insulation. A portion of the insulation and the weighted cover board is arranged within the cavity of the channel member. The first waterproofing membrane surrounds the channel member and extends over a portion of an upper surface of the weighted cover board. A second waterproofing membrane is positioned upwardly adjacent the weighted cover board. The second waterproofing membrane overlaps the portion of the first waterproofing membrane extended over the weighted cover board.
