摘要： An apparatus and method for connecting to the down spout of a gutter system to slow, disrupt, diffuse and absorb energy from runoff water to thereby eliminate erosion and destruction of surrounding landscaping is beneficial and desirable. The apparatus has an enclosure for passing runoff water therethrough. At least one upwardly extending baffle is used to slow and disrupt water from the down spout and at least one downwardly extending baffle is also used to slow, disrupt and diffuse runoff water from the down spout. The upwardly extending baffle and the downwardly extending baffle are for managing runoff water from the down spout to prevent erosion and destruction of surrounding landscaping.

摘要： A repositionable downspout extension is formed as an integral blow molded plastic component having three distinct sections. A downspout connector end merges with a corrugated extendible middle section which terminates in a drainage pipe connector. The downspout connector includes two rectangular sections of different sizes defining two different securing segments for engaging two different sizes of downspouts. The middle section is of a pleated configuration and is of variable length by expanding or collapsing of the pleats. The drainage pipe connector is a circular connector for connecting with commonly used corrugated plastic pipe or rigid plastic pipe. In a preferred embodiment the downspout connector end also includes a connector for insertion and retention in the corrugated middle section.

摘要： Drain products/systems and methods for installation are provided for diverting water away from a structure, e.g., a home's foundation. The drain products/systems are designed for use with conventional gutter and downspout systems and are adapted for installation/use at ground level. The disclosed drain products/systems are defined by a base and a side wall that surrounds the base on three sides thereof. The side wall which surrounds the base is typically defined by an inner wall portion, a bridging portion and an outer wall portion. The outer wall portion is advantageously of greater height than the inner wall portion. The difference in height between the outer wall portion and the inner wall portion typically defines a downwardly extending U-shaped portion. The disclosed drain products/systems offer superior flexibility to homeowners and/or contractors/builders, permitting efficient and reliable installation and use in countless terrains and environmental circumstances.

摘要： An automatic downspout drain extension that automatically deploys into a downward position upon the weight of an entrained column of fluid. The automatic downspout drain extension includes a downspout member that depends from a gutter and is secured to a wall of a structure to which the gutter is mounted. The terminal end of the downspout is connected to a flexible elbow having a first end and a second end. The flexible elbow is secured between the downspout and the extension member. The extension member is an elongated conduit that includes an energy dissipater carried by the distal end of the extension member. The energy dissipater includes a liquid absorbing insert. A spring member biases the extension member in the upright position. As water flowing off of the roof exits the gutter and flows into the downspout, the downspout and extension member simultaneously fill with water until the weight of the column of water in the extension member overcomes the biasing force of the spring member and allows the extension member to deploy downward. Water flowing from the extension member saturates the liquid absorbing insert. The weight of the saturated liquid absorbing insert is sufficient to overcome the biasing force of the spring member, thus maintaining the extension member in the folded down, or deployed, position.

摘要： A retractable conduit formed from a sheet of memory-set polyester. To manufacture the memory-set strip, the polyester sheet is wound into a desired coiled position. It is then heated and cooled in a manner to memory-set the sheet in a coiled form. After this process the sheet of polyester will automatically return to the coiled position after it has been uncoiled. In one form, suitable as a splashblock, the distal end of the polyester sheet is wider than the end attachable to a downspout. In another form the polyester sheet is sheathed in an elongated polyethylene tube, to form a retractable hose. In a preferred form, the distal end of the hose is supported on a spool which will roll along the ground as the hose is wound and unwound to further ensure that the hose retracts properly. The tube can also be provided with holes to act as a sprinkler if desired.

摘要： A clip for holding a downspout lateral in the tipped up position has a C-shaped body constructed of transparent, resilient plastic. The clip is resiliently snapped onto a downspout some distance above where a lateral joins the downspout. The C-shaped body of the clip has at least one depending lip for retaining the downspout lateral. The lateral is tilted upwardly until the upper edge of the lateral rests against the clip then the clip is slid down slightly until the lip engages the upper edge of the lateral and thereby retains it.

Firstly, pivotally connect a down spout extension to a lowermost end of an eave trough down spout such that the down spout extension is movable between a substantially vertical stored position and a substantially horizontal operative position. Secondly, position a spring at the connection of the down spout extension and the eave trough down spout biasing the down spout extension into the stored position. The spring tension is set such that a flow of water through the down spout provides a force to overcome the biasing force of the spring thereby moving the down spout extension to the operative position.

摘要： An adjustable extension assembly for a downspout includes a fixed piece attachable to the lowermost end of a downpipe, a rotatable collar attached to the fixed piece, and at least one extension pivotably attached to the rotatable collar. Optionally additional slidably extendable members may be telescopingly attached to the extension. The extension members are channel-shaped in cross-section. The extension may be composed of a polymerized material or a metal. In addition to being easily attached to a downspout, the adjustable extension of the present invention may be selectively adjusted for fitting, for selective water deflection, and for proper lawn maintenance.
