Abstract:
A fence post anchor that adjusts for vertical post alignment by providing a post engagement support portion that swivels on a ground engagement portion. The post engagement portion is defined by a split box sleeve secured to an adjustment dome. A fastener assembly interconnects the adjustment dome to the ground engagement portion that has multiple engagement flights on which the dome can be movably positioned and secured thereto.
Abstract:
A base used to support an overhead pole and canopy or umbrella. The base has a strong lower magnet and two spaced vertical members each of which has a plurality of pin positioning and retaining holes. A pivotally connected support arm is positioned between the vertical members and pivotally attached to the base at its lower end. A pole with a canopy may be mounted on the support arm's other upper end and oriented at a desired angle by inserting a pin into a positioning hole. A flexible gooseneck is provided in the pole's segments to join them together and permit added angular adjustments to the mounted attached canopy.
Abstract:
A temporary power line tower assembly and method of installing the same to serve emergency needs in restoring power service when a permanent tower is damaged or in need of repair. The temporary tower assembly includes a plurality of prefabricated sections the base section of which incorporates a gimbal joint and a rotary joint axially of the base section and normal to the gimbal axes at their point of intersection. The base section is provided with a lockout device operable to restrain all pivotal movement about the three pivot axes of the gimbal and the rotary joints to permit storage, transit and handling of the base section without risk of damage or injury to personnel.
Abstract:
A base connection for metal utility poles in which a plurality of anchor bolts extend upwardly from a concrete foundation each having a levelling collar adjustably mounted thereon. Pole connecting tubes are received in cutout portions in the lower end of the pole and are secured to the pole by welds extending along the contiguous regions between the connecting tube and the cutout portions of the pole. The pole is supported on the anchor bolts with each pole connecting tube supported on a levelling collar on each anchor bolt and connected thereto by means of a locking cap.
Abstract:
A post setting attachment for a utility vehicle includes a base having a first side mountable to the utility vehicle, the base having a second side opposing the first side of the base. The post setting attachment can include a column coupled to the second side of the base and have a length extending vertically. The post setting attachment can further include a pair of clamps attached at separate lengths along the column and configured to grasp a post. The post setting attachment can include a controller that rotates and translates the column to adjust a position of the post. Furthermore, the post setting attachment can include a gravel hopper coupled to the second side of the base that is controlled by the controller to discharge gravel after the controller adjusts the position of the post to secure the post in position.
Abstract:
A system for positioning post sleeves is provided including a plurality of post sleeve positioning devices and a spacing mechanism. Each post sleeve positioning device is configured to receive a respective post sleeve and to enable selective adjustment of a position and orientation of the respective post sleeve. The spacing mechanism is coupleable between the pair of post sleeve positioning devices to determine or control the position and orientation of the post sleeve received by one of the pair of post sleeves positioning devices relative to the post sleeve received by the other one of the pair of post sleeve positioning devices. Related systems and methods are also provided.
Abstract:
A tiltable telescoping support structure positioning system includes a frame having first and second opposed vertical sections. A telescoping support structure is disposed between the first and second opposed vertical sections, the telescoping support structure having a plurality of telescoping sections extendable from a base section along a longitudinal axis thereof. The base section of the telescoping support structure is tiltably coupled to the first and second opposed vertical sections to permit the base section to tilt along a first tilt path towards either of the first and second opposed vertical sections of the frame. A tilting mechanism is coupled between the base section of the telescoping support structure so as to tilt the telescoping support structure about a second tilt path aligned perpendicular to the tilt path between the first and second opposed vertical sections of the frame.
