    摘要： A window operator and hinge structure for a casement window which can be simply factory pre-set for positioning of a window in either egress or wash modes, with switching between modes requiring no additional parts or special tools. The structure has a pivoted handle movable between a closed, inactive position flush with a sill cover and rotatable to an inclined, active position. The handle, in its pivoting movement, operates window locking structure and also controls the action of a brake, with release of the brake by raising of the handle to operative position. Motion-transmitting connections between the handle and linkage structure include the brake as well as the clutch, with the clutch effective to limit the torque that can be applied to the linkage. The handle can be moved to closed, inactive position with the window open so that no handle protrudes and this movement of the handle sets the brake so that a wind cannot move the window.

    摘要： A chain operator for a window, and particularly a skylight window, having a casing with a chain storage area from which a chain can be advanced for opening of the window. The casing is constructed for mounting of different types of drive mechanism for a chain drive sprocket within the casing. A unitary liner is fitted within the casing to provide a reduced friction mounting for the drive sprocket and a reduced friction guide for the chain, with the liner being positioned in high load and high wear areas to result in smooth and quiet long-life operation. The chain operator has a chain composed of solid links pivotally interconnected by U-shaped links and interrelated in a manner to readily move between straight and curved configurations and operate under relatively heavy load.

Slide mechanism designs include a handle, a slide member coupled to the handle, and a linear rail along which the slide member is slidably received such that the slide member is operable to slide in a linear motion. The slide member includes an attachment structure for operatively coupling with a drive belt to transfer linear motion through a transfer mechanism to a drive mechanism of the unit. The attachment structure is attached to the drive belt such that a position of the attachment mechanism along the length of the drive belt may be adjusted by a user.
