    摘要: The method and the device are used for diagnosing the electrical condition of a spatially extended hardware component, in particular a cable for transmitting electrical power, in a spatially resolved manner by means of interference between pulses fed in into the component by a signal generator. In these, the following method steps are in principle provided: feeding of at least two pulses into the component which are offset by a pulse interval Δt, detection of the interfered pulses and echoes by means of an analysis unit, c) variation of the pulse interval Δt for the spatially resolved scanning of the hardware component along its length l, d) repetition of the steps a) to c) until the component has been scanned at least in some sections, and e) analysis of the detected interfered pulses in the analysis unit. For a device for implementing the method it is provided that at least one signal generator is connected to the component and to an analysis unit to generate the pulses, wherein to provide a spatially resolved diagnosis local energy losses eW(x) can be mathematically determined over the length l of the component on the basis of a plurality of interference voltage waveforms and voltage waveforms induced by the pulses.

    摘要: A Passive Intermodulation (PIM) measurement circuit enables making forward and reverse PIM measurements on any 1 port (reflection) or 2 port (transmission) device with the ability to determine in distance where individual PIM impairments are located as well as their magnitude. The PIM measurement circuit includes two frequency sources that are provided through a combiner for a CW characterization of the PIM circuit. To enable distance determination, an FM measurement is created by using a saw tooth offset sweep generator attached to one of the two frequency sources. With down conversion and processing of signals from the PIM impairments, the FM signal provides a frequency variation that is converted using a Fourier transform or spectrum analysis for separation of frequencies, enabling determination of the distance of the PIM sources as well as their magnitudes.

    摘要: A monitor for determining the operation condition of at least one cable that suffers bending and/or twisting and constitutes an electrical loop and a method thereof are provided. The monitor comprises a test electrical signal generator (5) for generating an identifiable test electrical signal and injecting the test electrical signal into the first point of the at least one cable, a test electrical signal filter (7) adapting to extract the injected test electrical signal from the second point of the at least one cable, and a comparator (8) for comparing a predetermined threshold with the difference between the electrical state of the injected test electrical signal and the extracted test electrical signal and producing a warning signal indicating cable fatigue when the difference exceeds the predetermined threshold. It provides the advantages as follows: it only monitors the electric performance, not the mechanical performance of a cable; it monitors the cable itself rather than a monitor material; it is applicable to all kinds of cables, including but not limited to a large-current cable; it does not introduce new cables; it is an on-line monitoring, i.e. the electro-mechanical system needs no pause for monitoring its cable fatigue.
