摘要: The present invention provides a composite heating element suitable for heating an article when activated by a power source. The composite heating element comprises first and second dielectric layers each having an inner surface and an outer surface. The composite heating element further comprises a conductive layer formed from at least one conductive ink composition comprising a plastisol component and a conductive component. The conductive layer is disposed between the inner surfaces of the first and second dielectric layers and defines a circuit. The composite heating element further comprises an adhesive layer coupled at least one of the outer surfaces of the first and second dielectric layers opposite the conductive layer.

摘要: Disclosed is a breathable heater element for a garment or for the lining of a garment such as an outdoor jacket, e.g. a waterproof jacket. The heater element is formed from porous metallised fabric such a nickel plated woven polyester fabric by photochemical etching of a suitable track pattern onto the metallised fabric. The formed heater element is then laminated into a lining. The material of the lining may be impregnated with microencapsulated functional chemicals such as fragrances, perfumes, antimicrobials or insect repellents. The microcapsules release their contents on activation due to heat generated by the heater element.

摘要: The method for a flexible lamination includes: providing a cloth foundation having temperature resistant properties; sewing heating wire on the cloth foundation; providing a first outer cloth and a second outer cloth having high temperature resistant properties and being individually disposed on an upper surface and a lower surface of the cloth foundation; coating a thermoplastic between the first outer cloth and the cloth foundation, and between the second outer cloth and the cloth foundation; pressing and heating an outer surface of the first outer cloth or the second outer cloth of the first outer cloth and the second outer cloth so that they individually adhere to the upper and lower surfaces of the cloth foundation; thereby it becomes resistant to high temperatures, and is not easily oxidized.

摘要: The invention provides a flexible electro-heating apparatus and fabrication thereof. The electro-heating apparatus, according to the invention, includes a fabric-type heating device, at least one pair of terminals, and a power supply. The heating device is formed by at least M first yarns which each first yarn substantially consists of first textile fibers and metal fibers or metallic fibers. N first yarns of the M first yarns are woven through the heating device from a first side of the heating device to a second side of the beating device. Each pair of terminals is respectively and oppositely disposed on the first side and the second side of the heating device. When the power supply electrically connects to the terminals disposed on the first side and the second side of the heating device, the power supply is, capable of applying a voltage between the first side and the second side of the heating device such that an electric current resulting from the voltage flows through the N first yarns woven through the beating device from the first side to the second side. The N first yarns then generate heat induced by the electric current.

摘要: A laminate fabric heater includes a heating element having a conductive fabric layer patterned to define an electrical circuit having first and second ends and an adhesive layer adhered to a first side of the conductive fabric layer. First and second electrical leads are electrically coupled to the conductive fabric layer at the first and second ends, respectively, and first and second protective layers are disposed on opposing sides of the heating element to form a laminate with the heating element. The heating element is preferably sandwiched between the first and second protective layers so that only the first and second electrical leads extend from the resulting laminate. The first and second ends each preferably include an area of reduced resistivity extending across the width of the electrical circuit and formed from an application of conductive glue. Methods of manufacturing laminate fabric heaters are also provided.

摘要: According to the present invention, a heating pad controller incorporating a discrete ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) is provided which varies the duty cycle characteristics of a periodic signal during which power is applied to a heating pad heating element during a portion of the signal (“on” time). An oscillator circuit is used to produce a controlled duty cycle control signal for controlling the power applied to the heating pad by varying the on-time of the duty cycle. User control of the length of the on-time of the duty cycle is provided by way of a user controlled switch, thereby providing for a plurality of controller operating modes (e.g., WARM, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, etc.). To configure the duty cycle for each heat setting the heating pad controller utilizes switchable electrical components of varying impedance connected to the ASIC. A heating pad controller according to the present invention can be configured for use with heating pads of varying sizes simply by installing electrical components with the appropriate impedance during manufacture of the circuit board.
