摘要: An optoelectronic device having a self-defrosting/de-icing window configured to operate at an electromagnetic radiation frequency having metals that are optically transparent as a result of the wires having an effective plasma frequency that is equal to or lower than the electromagnetic frequency at which the device operates. The effective plasma frequency of the wire is lowered by configuring the path of the wire between the terminal ends to be meandering, serpentine, U-shaped and in other non-linear configurations. The metal wires are resistively heated.

摘要: A method of making monolithic carbon nanotube heater elements with geometric shape with multiple, complex curvatures is disclosed. The method includes depositing carbon nanotubes on to a forming surface, draining the carbon nanotubes, and drying the carbon nanotubes. Alternatively, the method includes thermoforming carbon nanotube sheets containing thermoplastic binders. The resulting carbon nanotube heater element is a thin, monolithic carbon nanotube heater sheet having a geometric shape with complex curvatures.

摘要: The invention relates to a heating element for a room in a building having a flat support which includes carbon nanotubes and a plurality of contacts, wherein the carbon nanotubes can be excited to infrared emission by connecting an electrical voltage to the contacts. The invention further relates to a method for producing such heating element, the support thereof being attached to a wall of the room. In order to simplify the heating element, according to the invention the support includes a flexible textile material in which the contacts are embedded and to which the carbon nanotubes are applied in an aqueous dispersion and the water is evaporated.
