Abstract: A continuous forming apparatus for molding foam material into foam products that includes a first endless belt and a second endless belt that cooperates with the first endless belt to mold the foam material. The continuous forming apparatus may also include a first plurality of cleats and a second plurality of cleats opposed to the first plurality of cleats that support the first endless belt and the second endless belt respectively. The first plurality of cleats may include a three-dimensional abutment surface that provides transverse and lateral support to the first endless belt. Additionally, the continuous forming apparatus may include a first frame disposed to support the first plurality of cleats, a second frame disposed to support the second plurality of cleats, and a drive mechanism for imparting motion to the first endless belt, the second endless belt, the first plurality of cleats, and the second plurality of cleats.

According to an aspect of the invention, a method for the manufacture of a plastic component, in particular a cushioning element for sports apparel, is provided which includes loading a mold with a first material which includes particles of an expanded material, and, during loading the mold, pre-heating the particles by supplying energy, wherein the energy is supplied in the form of at least one electromagnetic field.

Abstract: A compression molding technique, assembly and method for producing an acoustic/environmental sealing component, such as for use in a vehicle pillar. A two part mold defines a negative impression cavity of the completed part and within which is deposited a compounded and expandable resin as any of loose beads, granules or a syrup. The resin is heated within the mold to a temperature below that necessary for it activation/expansion, concurrent with being compression formed. A pre-formed rigid substrate not limited to a nylon is incorporated into the mold and against which is compression formed the resin.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a seat cushion material, the seat cushion material including a front layer part and a back layer part having a back side surface, the method including: preparing for molding the seat cushion by attaching the back layer part to an upper die having an upper cavity surface; molding the seat cushion material by adding foamed resin raw material forming on a lower cavity surface of a lower die and then by closing the upper die to which the back layer part is attached, the lower cavity surface being provided with a plurality of protrusions which is configured to be brought into contact with a seating surface side of the back layer part and press the back layer part against the upper cavity surface when the upper die to which the back layer part is attached is closed; and demolding the molded seat cushion material.

Abstract: Provided is an injection molding device, including an injection port arranged on an upper mold base; an upper mold arranged in the upper mold base, wherein at least one ejection port, a gasket groove and a gasket are provided and the ejection portion is connected to the injection port; a lower mold base operatively aligned with or separated from the upper mold base and provided with at least one gas passage for the gas to enter or exit; and a lower mold disposed on the lower mold base. The lower mold base is aligned with or separated from the upper mold base, the lower mold is provided with a mold cavity and at least one shaped air path is provided to connect the mold cavity with the gas passage. The lower mold is a porous material and has a plurality of pores. Gas is pre-injected into the mold cavity through the gas passage and at least one air path to maintain a preset pressure inside the mold cavity. Gas is spewed out through the plurality of pores, thereby causing a finished product to exit the mold cavity. In addition, the present disclosure also provides an injection molding method.
