Abstract:
An air compressor package having improved stability and portability. The air compressor package is positionable in an operational position, wherein the air compressor package is positioned on a base, and a transport position, wherein the air compressor package may be more readily transported. Positioning of the air compressor package into the transport position is accomplished by rotating the air compressor about a rotational axis that is generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the air tank, which positions the air compressor in an orientation and position that is relatively comfortable, whether or not the air compressor is hand-transported.
Abstract:
A gas compressor and method according to which a piston assembly reciprocates in a bore to draw the fluid to be compressed into the bore during movement of the piston unit in one direction and to compress the fluid during movement of the piston unit in the other direction.
Abstract:
A workbench for an air compressor that includes a work surface as its top surface. The workbench is provided on wheels, such as caster wheels. The workbench may be closed by panels to attenuate sound. The panels may be removable to provide access to the compressor for maintenance or repair. A mechanism may be provided whereby a drain for the air compressor may be remotely actuated so that the compressor tank may be drained without opening the panels or having to reach under the workbench. The power feed to the motor may be used to power an outlet on the workbench when the motor is not running. The outlet may be provided on the outer shell of the workbench (e.g., on a panel on the outside of the workbench). A switch may be provided that routes the power to the outlet instead of the motor.
Abstract:
A bi-directional fluid valve apparatus comprising a valve member adapted to co-act with an annular shoulder at the end of a fluid bore, the valve member having two axial ends. A flat surface on a first end having a diameter greater than that of the shoulder is positioned with the flat surface abutting the axial end surface of the shoulder. At least two axially extending and circumferentially spaced apart ribs are on the second axial end thereof, each of the ribs terminating in an end surface. The ribs are positioned so that the end surfaces are in axial alignment with, and spaced a preselected distance from, the axial end surface of the shoulder. Hollow coil spring means are positioned within the recesses in register with the bores, and having a first end engaging one of the shoulders, and a second end engaging the at least three circumferentially spaced apart ribs and the second axial end of the valve member.
Abstract:
A pumping apparatus for delivering water upwardly from a holding area and over a holding area bank includes an apparatus base having an apparatus base upper surface; a water drawing pipe including a pipe intake end and a pipe discharge end and being mounted to the apparatus base and extendable from the apparatus base; an impeller rotatably mounted within the drawing pipe discharge end; an impeller motor drivably connected to the impeller at the drawing pipe discharge end; impeller motor power supply structure; and a light tower having a tower mounted end mounted to the apparatus base and a tower free end including a light source structure having at least one light source for delivering light onto the apparatus base, and a tower body extending between the tower mounted end and the tower free end.
Abstract:
A high-volume low pressure hand operated air pump comprised of a tube body with a plunger shaft inserted into one end thereof and a check valve at the other end thereof with a floating seal secured to the internal end of the plunger shaft comprised of a captured double sided annular disk having a closed cell foam plastic seal on one side thereof and a plastic stiffener of the same plastic material integrated thereto for supporting the foam sealing side thereof.
Abstract:
The closure system according to the invention is intended in particular for plastics immersion pumps which in turn have a pump casing which has a substantially cylindrical casing wall, a detachable casing cover and a locking ring which is intended for closing the casing cover and, in the mounted state, is arranged on the outside of the casing cover and is inserted in an annular groove of the casing wall. According to the invention, the casing cover is provided on its outside with at least two ribs which are arranged in a spoke-like manner and each have an outer projection and with this each expose a groove radially accessible from the outside, and the locking ring is provided with the same number of radially inward projecting tabs. The latter are dimensioned and arranged in such a way that, in the assembled, i.e. operational, state of the pump, they are each inserted in a tightly fitting manner into a groove of the ribs arranged at the end face of the casing cover. The closure system according to the invention is distinguished in particular by the fact that, in the closed state, the locking ring is clamped at preferably uniform distances from the ribs of the casing cover and is thus secured radially and axially and also against an undesired deformation.
Abstract:
A personal fan construction 10 for blowing noxious fumes and odors away from a user's breathing passages and including a fan unit 13 mounted on a housing member 30 that is provided with at least one slot 32 dimensioned to receive a strap unit 11 for securing the construction 10 to a selected portion of a user's anatomy; wherein, said fan unit 13 is angularly adjustable relative to both said housing member 30 and the strap unit 11.
Abstract:
A hand pump comprises a head, a cylinder, a piston rod, a first handle, and a second handle. The head includes a valve-engaging portion for engaging with a valve of an article to be inflated. An end of the cylinder is connected to the head. A piston is securely mounted to an end of the piston rod and reciprocatingly received in the cylinder. The first handle is securely attached to other second end of the piston rod that extends beyond the other end of the cylinder. The second handle is attached to the head to provide an auxiliary grip.
Abstract:
Valve and separator unit is mounted to a housing of a compressor. The unit includes a check valve for preventing the reverse flow of refrigerant, and an oil separator for separating a mist of lubricating oil contained in the refrigerant from the refrigerant. Separated lubricating oil is introduced into a crank chamber via an oil passage, and the separated refrigerant is directed to the check valve, which prevents of the reverse flow of the refrigerant from the external refrigerant circuit to the discharge chamber.
