The burner may include at least one burner pot to receive a gas and air, a combustion member to burn a mixed gas of the gas and air within the at least one burner pot, a burner frame seated on the at least one burner pot to define an exhaust passage, through which the gas burned by the combustion member and carbon monoxide generated by incomplete combustion of the mixed gas may flow, and a catalyst body disposed in the exhaust passage. The catalyst body may have a catalyst to allow the carbon monoxide to react with oxygen.

摘要： A method for modifying an open-top burner system to a radiant burner system involves providing a stovetop having an open top burner system which includes a grate, burner head, and a venturi burner. The venturi burner includes an open top annular channel about a central opening. Further provided are a central hole plug, an emitter, and a radiant burner head assembly. To modify the stovetop, the grate and burner head are removed from the stovetop and the central plug is used to block airflow through the central opening. The radiant burner head assembly is next positioned over the venturi burner and the emitter is positioned over the radiant burner head assembly. This series of steps thereby converts the assembly from a traditional open-top burner system to a radiant burner system. A kit may be provided to facilitate the process.

The cooking appliance includes: a cabinet; a burner assembly provided within the cabinet, for combusting a gas mixture of air and gas; a nozzle assembly for supplying gas to the burner assembly; an exhaust passage in which combusted gas generated during combusting of the gas mixture flows; an intake passage in which air for mixing with the gas flows; and a top plate provided above the burner assembly, wherein combusted gas in the exhaust passage is exhausted to an outside through natural convection, and air outside the cabinet is drawn into the intake passage through natural convection.

摘要： Gas cooking appliances having glass or glass-ceramic plates for cooking surfaces also having gas-radiation burners that are positioned below the plate or atmospheric burners that are recessed in the plate. With gas radiation burners, care must be taken to ensure a thermally advantageous discharge of exhaust gases that are produced and with atmospheric burners, care must be taken to ensure an adequate supply of primary air. Accordingly, the glass or glass-ceramic plate forming the cooking surface is partially bent out of the cooking surface plane to form an adhesive-free exhaust air duct or fresh air opening in the bent area. The exhaust air duct and fresh air opening are free of ventilation lattices.

Burners with hat-shaped mats for enveloping and brazing heat-exchange tubes to tube sheet can be used individually or in pairs to effect such brazing on tube-and-sheet assemblies secured on rotating table and indexed into position under burners. Substrates can be heated by gas-fired burners with or without the added heating effects of the hot combusted gases generated by the burners, and with or without the flushing effects of separate gas streams. Burners can have ceramic fiber mat held over shallow combustion mixture plenum essentially completely spanned by baffle. Mats can have folded-in edges to permit close packing. Plenum can have partition forming small ignition compartment with igniter against covering portion of mat.
