    摘要: A method for manufacturing a ballistic resistance package which includes providing a molecularly oriented tape material having a front face and back face with a minimum of two sets of parallel side faces; wrapping molecularly oriented fabric material around the front and back faces and a set of the parallel side faces of the molecularly oriented tape material, yielding a wrapped core structure; and finalizing the wrapped core structure to yield the ballistic resistance package. A multifunction ballistic resistance system for resisting projectiles and/or mitigating blast effects of explosions. The multifunction ballistic resistance system may include: at least one cellular frame defining cells therein, and a plurality of molecularly oriented tape material core structures wrapped in molecularly oriented fabric material and finalized, and attached to at least one cellular frame.

    摘要: A modular system for protecting a critical asset includes a plurality of vertical members extending vertically upwardly from a ground surface, and inner and outer stacks of spaced-apart horizontal members connected between adjacent pairs of the vertical members defining a vertical wall. The spaced-apart horizontal members have cross sections and spacings such that no line can be drawn through the wall without intersecting with one or both of the inner and outer stacks. The cross sections of the horizontal members in both stacks include elongated angled surfaces such that projectile on a trajectory toward the critical asset is deflected upwardly or downwardly and away from the critical asset. In a preferred embodiment, the horizontal members are angle irons. In a more preferred embodiment the horizontal members are 1/2″ 90-degree steel angle irons oriented sideways, such that the elongated plates making up the angle irons are 45 degrees off horizontal.

The desk has a support structure, a tabletop, an antiballistic shell, a concealment cavity, a computer enclosure, and a storage compartment. The support structure is a rigid frame onto which the tabletop is mounted. The antiballistic shell is a protective layer of material that wraps around the lateral surface of the support structure so that bullets and flying debris cannot harm the user or the drawer computer. The concealment enclosure is a cavity within the desk that functions as a personal bunker into which the user can crawl. The drawer computer is a personal computing device that is mounted within the computer enclosure. Finally, the storage compartment is a drawer or cabinet that can be used for storing personal items.
