    摘要: A removable joystick for use with a video game controller includes a base shaft that is coupled to a joystick unit in the housing of the video game controller so that the proximal end of the base shaft extends to a location at or below an outer surface of the housing. A top shaft assembly is removably coupleable to the base shaft. The top shaft assembly includes a top shaft with a proximal end that removably couples to a joystick ball. The top shaft assembly also includes a collar that is spring loaded and movably coupled to the top shaft and has a flange that extends outward from the outer surface of the collar. The top shaft assembly removably couples to the base shaft via a quick disconnect assembly. When the top shaft assembly is disconnected from the base shaft, the flange of the collar engages and retains a dust cover disposed over the collar to inhibit misplacement or loss of the dust cover. This assembly facilitates travel with the video game controller by allowing decoupling of the joystick while preventing misplacement or loss of the dust cover.

The computer joystick comprises a housing having an opening at its top, two mutually perpendicular shafts rotatably installed inside the housing, a joystick handle rotatably installed in the opening of the housing, an engaging means mounted at a bottom end of the joystick handle for rotatably engaging the two shafts, two optical sensors installed in the housing close to the two shafts for detecting rotations of the two shafts and generating corresponding displacement signals, and a control circuit having a memory for storing a coordinate as a position of the joystick handle, and a processor wired to the two optical sensors for updating the coordinate of the joystick handle according to the displacement signals generated by the two optical sensors and generating vector signals according to the coordinate of the joystick handle to indicate the current position of the joystick handle.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a computer joystick having a removable joystick handle so that users can select a favorite joystick handle when using the computer joystick. The computer joystick comprises a chassis, a joystick mechanism having two shafts and a control handle rotatably installed in the opening of the chassis for interacting with the two shafts, two sensors installed in the chassis for detecting rotations of the two shafts separately and generating corresponding rotation signals, a joystick handle having a locking means installed on its bottom end for removably mounting the joystick handle to the top end of the control handle, and a control circuit wired to the two sensors for receiving rotation signals generated by the two sensors. The joystick handle further comprises at least one control button and an electrical wire having a first end connected to the button and a second end connected with an electric plug. And the control circuit further comprises a socket for removably connecting the plug of the joystick handle so that control signals generated by the button can be received by the control circuit.

    摘要: An improved ball-type cursor control assembly is provided for controlling the position of a cursor or the like within the field of a video display. The control assembly comprises two orthogonally spaced rotatable traction wheels for supporting the ball at two points substantially at the horizontal equator of the ball and a rolling bearing positioned generally equidistant between the traction wheels to frictionally support the ball at a point substantially below the horizontal ball equator. The traction wheels and rolling bearing thus define three contact points lying within a common plane canted relative to the horizontal ball equator to permit the traction wheels to be positioned to contact the ball substantially at or slightly below said equator. In one preferred form, the traction wheels and rolling bearing are mounted on support brackets upstanding from a support platform having a central opening therein through which a portion of the ball extends thereby permitting the platform to be positioned in a plane less than one ball radius from the horizontal equator of the ball.

    摘要: The controlling lever of the mechanism for use in civil work machines or cargo winches is supported by a spherical bearing so as to be tiltable in any direction by any inclination angle. Four horizontal shafts are provided to extend in the +X, -X, +Y and -Y directions of a rectangular coordinate about the center of rotation of the controlling lever. Four arms are rotatably mounted on respective shafts and are biased by torsion springs wound about respective shafts. Slidable contacts are mounted on respective arms to slide along rheostats, thus producing electric signals proportional to the direction and angle of inclination of the controlling lever.

    摘要: A single lever control mechanism for operating a plurality of control elements which includes a base member, a main control member supported for revolving movement relative to the base member about a member which is spaced from the base member and means for preventing rotation of the main control member about an axis which coincides substantially with the center of said member about which the main control member is revolvable and is substantially normal to the base member, the main control member being operatively associated with at least two control elements which are spaced apart and operatively connected with operators such as moveable valve elements. In preferred embodiments, guide means is provided which functions in conjunction with the configuration of the main control member and the revolving movement of the main control member to automatically, progressively, simultaneously and proportionately decrease the flow of the actuating medium through one operator as the flow of actuating medium through another operator is increased and vice versa. In preferred embodiments, the guide means also arrests tilting movements of the main control member to prevent the exertion of excessive forces upon the operators by actuation of the single lever.
