    Abstract: A directional coupler (10) includes a main line (20), a sub-line (40), and a variable capacitor (60). At least part of the sub-line (40) is disposed along the main line (20). The variable capacitor (60) is connected between the main line (20) and the sub-line (40). The directional coupler (10) achieves a stable degree of coupling between the main line (20) and the sub-line (40).

    Abstract: A Wilkinson power divider includes an input line, a first branching line and a second branching line branching from the input line, a first output line coupled to a first end of an output side of the first branching line, a second output line coupled to a second end of an output side of the second branching line, a first stub coupled to the first end, a second stub coupled to the second end, an isolation resistor coupled between the first stub and the second stub, and a circuit branching from a first point between two ends of the first stub, and a second point between two ends of the second stub, and coupling between the first point and the second point. At least a portion of the first stub, at least a portion of the second stub, and the first circuit form a resonant circuit.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a device including a first line, a second line including a first section disposed on a first side of the first line and a second section disposed on a second side of the first line, the second side being opposite to the first side and the second section being separate from the first section by a distance, and at least one bridge electrically connecting an end of the first section with an end of the second section and extending across the first line. The device may be a directional coupler that achieves significantly higher directivity than conventional directional coupler structures, and hence, improves power detection accuracy.

The directional coupler includes a first layer having at least one conductive portion, a second layer disposed adjacent to the first layer in a first direction and having at least one conductive plate corresponding to the conductive portion of the first layer, a third layer disposed adjacent to the second layer in the first direction and including an RF signal transmission line, a fourth layer disposed adjacent to the third layer in the first direction and having a conductive line wound with at least one turn, and at least one conductive via electrically connecting the at least one conductive plate of the second layer and the conductive line of the fourth layer which is wound with at least one turn.

The first line (31) and the third line (33) are formed in the surface mounted component (10). The second line (32) is formed on or in the mounting substrate (20). Furthermore, another end (312) of the first line (31) and another end (322) of the second line (32) may be connected to each other.

The first line includes a first center portion, a first connecting portion, and a second connecting portion. A distance between the first and third connecting portions and a distance between the second and fourth connecting portions decrease toward the first and second center portions. The filter circuit includes a 90-degree hybrid coupler, a first filter that is connected to the 90-degree hybrid coupler and has the first frequency band as a pass band, and a second filter that is connected to the 90-degree hybrid coupler and has the second frequency band as a pass band. The second filter includes a first inductor, a resonant circuit, and a second inductor connected in series in this order, a first capacitive element connected between a node on a signal path connecting the first inductor and the resonant circuit and a ground electrode, and a second capacitive element connected between a node on a signal path connecting the second inductor and the resonant circuit and a ground electrode.
