Abstract: The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus for initiating and handling an emergency IP request using an IP enabled device having GPS capability. The IP enabled device is monitored for one or more emergency criteria. If the emergency criteria are satisfied, global positioning data is obtained using the GPS capability and the emergency IP request is sent to an address server. The address server receives the emergency IP request, obtains local emergency services data based on the global positioning data, dials a call center station based on the local emergency services data and passes an emergency call from the IP enabled device to the call center station. This invention can be implemented as a computer program embedded in a computer readable medium wherein the steps are performed by one or more code segments.

In response to detecting that the device is attached to or registered the first network different from the second network, the device includes a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) in a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) INVITE message to be transmitted.

Abstract: Tagged receivers, tracking locator alert systems, and methods of transmitting an alert are disclosed. A tagged receiver receives a command over the network interface hardware, executes the received command, send data indicative of the status of an asset to which the tagged receiver is attached over the network interface hardware, determines an alert event has occurred, and activates an alert in response to determining that the alert event has occurred. The command includes arming the tagged receiver, disarming the tagged receiver, emitting an alert from the tagged receiver, sending data indicative of location, or a combination thereof. The alert event includes the motion sensors sensing a movement of the asset, receiving a command to emit an alert over the network interface hardware, the asset leaving a predetermined geo-fenced area, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: The systems, methods, and devices disclose a transducer system located in a room or in an area to provide an alert to one or more persons. The transducer system includes at least a receiver, a processor and a speaker. The receiver receives an alert message sent from an alarm system or from another transducer system. The processor is configured to determine, from a plurality of notification messages, a notification message based on the alert event indicated by the alert message. Each of the plurality of notification messages corresponds to a different alert event, and each of the plurality of notification messages includes information to vibrate a speaker according to a different pre-determined vibration pattern. The speaker is moveable to generate a vibration pattern according to the determined notification message to inform a person about the alert event, wherein the speaker generates the vibration pattern in a low-frequency range.

Abstract: A system and method for providing communication in a distributed LMR system architecture is provided herein, wherein the system includes a plurality of LMR subsystems interconnected by a data network. In some embodiments, a subsystem may include a distributed simulcast architecture comprising a plurality of LMR sites, each site having a subsystem controller and a plurality of repeaters. In one embodiment, one subsystem controller operates in an active mode and the remaining subsystem controllers operate in standby to provide redundancy. The repeaters include integrated voter comparator and simulcast controller functionality and circuitry. In some embodiments, the repeaters are operable in an active or standby mode, wherein repeaters in the active mode perform voter comparator and simulcast controller functionality. The distributed simulcast architecture provides simulcast controller and voter comparator redundancy, network failure redundancy, and site redundancy.
