摘要: A source device for transmitting content to a sink device is provided. The source device may include an interface configured to perform high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) authentication with the sink device, and a controller configured to determine an HDCP version supported by the sink device, convert the content so as to be encrypted in the HDCP version supported by the sink device in response to a determination that another HDCP version applied to the content is not supported by the sink device, encrypt the converted content in the HDCP version supported by the sink device, and control the interface to transmit the content to the sink device.

摘要: Systems and methods for performing adaptive bitrate streaming using alternative streams of protected content in accordance with embodiments of the invention are described. One embodiment of the invention includes a processor, and memory containing a client application. In addition, the client application configures the processor to: request a top level index file identifying a plurality of alternative streams of protected content, where each of the alternative streams of protected content are encrypted using common cryptographic information; obtain the common cryptographic information; request portions of content from at least the plurality of alternative streams of protected content; access the protected content using the common cryptographic information; and playback the content.

The solutions of the present application can perform intelligent processing for the collected video data in real time.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method, comprising obtaining a first uniform resource identifier for a segment of a content item, obtaining encryption metadata indicative of encryption information to be used for encrypting the segment when the segment is requested by a client device or a content delivery network, generating a data combination based on the first uniform resource identifier and the encryption metadata, generating an authentication code or a signature by applying a secret to the data combination, the secret being unknown to the client device or the content delivery network, generating a second uniform resource identifier for the segment based on the authentication code or the signature, the encryption metadata and the first uniform resource identifier, inserting the second uniform resource identifier in an adaptive bitrate media playlist for the content item, and sending the adaptive bitrate media playlist to the client device or the content delivery network.

摘要: A method for accessing protected multimedia includes receiving an encrypted fragment of the multimedia content and receiving a key for decrypting it, using the key to decrypt the fragment, thereby obtaining an unscrambled fragment, replacing original bits of the unscrambled fragment with different substituted bits to obtain a modified fragment, and reconstructing the modified fragment is reconstructed by replacing substituted bits of the extracted modified fragment with the original bits. The resulting reconstructed fragment is then decoded and the resulting decoded fragment is sent to a multimedia appliance to be enjoyed by a human viewer.

摘要: Methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture for signature retrieval and matching for media monitoring are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a hash table populator to store hash keys of reference signatures included in a reference signature block associated with reference media in entries of a hash table, and store qualifier data in the entry of the hash table, the qualifier data including a timestamp, an offset, and an identifier associated with the reference signature of the hash key. The apparatus further including a block table populator to store a block table key corresponding to the reference signature block in the entry of a block table, the block table key including the timestamp and the identifier, and store the reference signature block, a preceding reference signature block and a subsequent reference signature block in the first entry of the block table. The apparatus further including a signature matcher to access the hash table and the block table to retrieve candidate reference signatures to compare with site signatures to identify the monitored media.

摘要: A method to protect a media content encrypted by a media content key, said method being carried out by a security module embedded into a reception device and connected to a consumption device, comprising: receiving an encrypted media content, encrypted by a media content key; receiving a message, being encrypted by a personal key of the security module, containing the media content key; decrypting the message by the personal key to retrieve the media content key; decrypting the encrypted media content by the media content key; generating a current local key; encrypting a portion of the media content by the current local key, said portion defining a chunk; transmitting the current local key to the consumption device; transmitting the encrypted chunk to the consumption device; repeating the previous four steps for different chunks of the media content and modifying the current local key for the different chunks.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for ensuring protection of transferred content. In one embodiment, content is transferred while enabling a network operator (e.g., MSO) to control and change rights and restrictions at any time, and irrespective of subsequent transfers. This is accomplished in one implementation by providing a premises device configured to receive content in a first encryption format and encodes using a first codec, with an ability to transcrypt and/or transcode the content into an encryption format and encoding format compatible with a device which requests the content therefrom (e.g., from PowerKey/MPEG-2 content to DRM/MPEG-4 content). The premises device uses the same content key to encrypt the content as is used by the requesting device to decrypt the content.
