    摘要： Method and apparatus for altering the length of time a print head in a dot-matrix type of printer mechanism receives driving voltage in accordance with the type of recording media being used by the printer, and preselected print head driving modes selected as a result of control commands provided by a host computer. The print head driving voltage is also measured and digitized, and then used along with the paper type as a parameter for altering the print mode. Memory elements can be used to establish print mode, print media, and drive voltage relationships for automatically selecting an optimum driving time interval in response to one of the selected parameters.

    摘要： A hardcopy device has various page processing steps in a printer, fax machine or the like which are actuated by a single motor which connects through a gear mechanism to drive a main drive roller, a pick roller, and automatically move a pressure plate in a feeder slot to and fro between a position of engagement holding a stack of pages against the pick roller and a position of disengagement. A reverse action of the pick roller kicks out partially picked pages into the feeder slot after the pressure plate is moved to a position of disengagement.

    摘要： The invention relates to a flat printer which is divided in a print carrier plane into a lower housing part and a housing cover which can be placed on or lifted off the latter. The housing cover is pivotably connected to the lower housing part. In a basic version, the housing cover contains only inactive functional components, namely a printing abutment as well as upper transport rollers. All the active functional components, namely the printing head, the driven lower transport rollers with their drives, as well as the drive for the ink ribbon cassette are arranged in the lower housing part. The electronic drive and control device is designed as a circuit board, onto which the functional components to be connected to it are preferably plugged directly.

    摘要： Multiple paper sources, including several single sheet channels and a tractor driven endless sheet channel, feed a common channel; the single sheets are friction roller driven upstream from the common channel. The common channel is curved and feeds past a flat platen off a downstream friction roller pair which however deflects the paper to hold it taut against the platen. The friction rollers and tractors are reversibly driven and the tractor is separately disconnected from the drive and through a sensor control sheets can be retracted from the platen.
