Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling operation state of multi-split air conditioner and system, and a heat pump multi-split. The control method includes: determining a target operation mode of each indoor unit according to an operation mode set by a user for the indoor unit; performing statistics on heat exchange demands of the indoor units corresponding to different target operation modes, and determining a dominant operation mode among the target operation modes according to the heat exchange demands; and using the dominant operation mode as the operation mode of an outdoor unit.

Abstract: An air conditioner may provide a a fan housing assembly that moves in the front-rear direction by the operation of an actuator, and the fan housing assembly moves so as to pass through a front outlet arranged on a door assembly to be in a projected state, and the front end of the fan housing assembly protrudes further to the front than the front surface of the door assembly; and through the projected state, may provide conditioned air by a direct air flow to a long-distance target region. The configuration may enable the minimization of interference between the discharged air and the door assembly, and the minimization of flow loss of the discharged air since, when the fan housing assembly is in the projected state, a steering grill is in a state of protruding to the outside of the door assembly by passing through the front outlet.

Abstract: A fan coil unit includes a cabinet, a heat exchanger located in the cabinet, an airflow inlet to admit an airflow into the cabinet, and an airflow outlet to allow the airflow to exit the cabinet. A fan is located in the cabinet to urge the airflow through the cabinet. The fan has an axis of rotation perpendicular to a general flow direction of the airflow. A method of operating a fan coil unit includes flowing an airflow into a cabinet via an airflow inlet and through a fan. The fan is oriented such that a fan axis of rotation is perpendicular to a general flow direction of the airflow from the airflow inlet to an airflow outlet. The airflow is urged across a heat exchanger located in the cabinet, the heat exchanger conditioning the airflow and is output from the cabinet through the airflow outlet.

Abstract: According to certain embodiments, a system comprises a controller and an HVAC system with components comprising an evaporator unit comprising an evaporator coil, an indoor fan, and a discharge air duct and a condenser unit comprising a compressor, a condenser coil, and an outdoor fan. The system is configured to determine that a first or a second level of evaporator coil freeze risk is present and to communicate an instruction to the HVAC system with a first or a second action to counteract the freeze risk. For example, in certain embodiments, the actions comprise changing the indoor fan speed, changing the compressor speed, and changing the outdoor fan speed.
