摘要: Techniques for monitoring statuses of electrical connections are described. In an example, an identifier of a circuit breaker is received. A determination may be made that the circuit breaker is in an “on” state based on the identifier of the circuit breaker being received. Further, an identifier of a load connected to the circuit breaker over a power cable is received. The identifier of the load is transmitted over the power cable. A determination may be made that the load is connected to the circuit breaker based on the identifier of the load being received. The identifier of the circuit breaker, the identifier of the load, and electrical connection statuses of the circuit breaker and the load may be provided over an interface.

摘要: A method for detecting insufficient contact pressure between the two contacts of an electrical switching unit, the unit including a device for resetting the mechanism for controlling the switching unit following closure of the mechanism, the resetting device including a motor able to complete the closure maneuver of the control mechanism. The method involves detecting whether the motor completes the closure and/or whether the resetting torque corresponds to a normal resetting torque, by analyzing the envelope curve of current consumed by the motor over time, in order to carry out the resetting following the closure manoeuvre of the control mechanism, and, if the motor completes the closure, deducing that the wear is the result of wear in the mechanism, the kinematic chain or even in the motor, and/or if the resetting torque corresponds to an abnormal resetting torque, deducing that the wear corresponds to wear in the motor or even in the parts involved in compressing the closure spring.

摘要: A circuit breaker includes: a tripped indicator for indicating a tripping of the circuit breaker, the tripped indicator having a first pivot element mounted on a first pivot pin; and a switch lock with a pawl pivotally mounted on a pawl pin. The first pivot element is actuated by the pawl to indicate a tripped condition of the circuit breaker. The first pivot pin is arranged substantially normal to the pawl pin.

摘要: A power switch including a contact configured to selectively electrically connect a line input to a load output, a switch configured to selectively control the contract, and an indicator. The contact has a closed position in which the line input is electrically connected to the load output, and an open position in which the line input is not electrically connected to the load output. The switch has an on position wherein the contact is controlled to be in the closed position, and an off position wherein the contact is controlled to be in the open position. The indicator provides a normal on status, a normal off status, and an error on status.

摘要: In one example, an arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) is provided. The AFCI may include a plurality of current arc signature detection blocks configured to output a plurality of corresponding current arc signatures, and a processor. The processor may be configured to receive each of the plurality of current arc signature from each of plurality of current arc signature detection blocks, respectively, and generate a first trigger signal. The processor may be further configured to assess each of the current arc signatures, determine whether an arc fault exists based on the assessment, and generate the first trigger signal if an arc fault is determined to exist. A method for detecting an arc fault is also provided.

摘要: A circuit breaker assembly including a housing assembly and a tamper detection system. The housing assembly defines a sealed enclosure. The sealed enclosure includes a division interface. The sealed enclosure is structured to be in one of a closed, first configuration, wherein the sealed enclosure defines a generally enclosed space, and an open, second configuration, wherein the sealed enclosure allows access to the enclosed space, and wherein, as the sealed enclosure moves between the first configuration to the second configuration, the sealed enclosure is reconfigured at the division interface. The tamper detection system includes a protective assembly and an indicator assembly. The protective assembly is structured to be coupled to the sealed enclosure at the division interface. The indicator assembly includes a rupturable construct. The rupturable construct is structured to transform from an intact, first configuration to a ruptured, second configuration.
