    摘要： A printing apparatus used for electronic computers, comprises a plurality of type wheels mounted in juxtaposition on a shaft, a corresponding plurality of rotatable type selecting members arranged also in juxtaposition and in mesh engagement with said type wheels, respectively, said type selecting members carrying respective engaging members, and a common operation member in engagement with said engaging members, in such a manner that through rotational movement of said operation member the type selecting members are caused to be rotated to attain simultaneous drive of said type wheels. The type selecting members are adapted to be stopped by respective selector means when the types on the type wheels are located in registration with the printing positions, and upon completion of the selection of all the types desired, a printing hammer is actuated to print them on a paper medium.

    摘要： A filtering system for removing waste products released during the operation of drum-type pyrographic recorders, such as electroresistive recorders, comprises a filter cartridge which is sealed in a housing between a drum length funnel and the inlet side of a blower. The face of the funnel is in close proximity to the surface of the drum and is apertured so that a partial vacuum is maintained in the immediate area of the drum and along substantially its entire length, while localized separation of the recording medium from the drum is effectively precluded. The partial vacuum causes the waste product laden air to be drawn through the filter cartridge where the solid contaminants are trapped in a first stage and the gaseous contaminants are neutralized in a second stage.

    摘要： The feed of a recording medium is initiated by a drive means which is energized in response to a first readout instruction signal from a master such as a punch typewriter or electronic computer. Upon completion of transmission of one character data, a sync signal is mechanically generated and is compared with a second readout instruction signal from the master in a timing control circuit. When the sync signal is generated prior to the second readout instruction signal, the drive means is deenergized in response to the sync signal to thereby stop the recording medium and is again energized in response to the second readout instruction signal to thereby again initiate the feed. When the second readout instruction signal is generated prior to the sync signal, the drive means is kept energized even when the sync signal is generated so as to continue the feed of recording medium. The above cyclic operation is repeated in response to the succeeding readout instruction signals.

The coded alpha-numeric bits are directed to a decoder for conversion to a dot matrix and then to a writing head for printing on electrosensitive paper. The coded graphics bits are not relayed to the decoder but instead are transmitted to the writing head for direct print out on the electrosensitive paper. A control circuit monitors the incoming bit stream to shift the terminal between alpha-numeric and graphics printing as the arriving data pulses require.

    摘要： A receiving device for a start-stop teleprinter comprises a shifting register adapted to serially receive a code combination and to transfer in parallel the received combination to a temporary storing register for simultaneously controlling a set of code electromagnets. A start electromagnet adapted to cause a printing mechanism to be cyclically operated is controlled by a bistable control circuit, which is set by a character ready signal generated upon receiving the code combination. The circuit then clears the storing register and is reset by a signal generated upon sensing at least one element movable with said mechanism.
