    Abstract: Inter-operator sounding reference signal (SRS) resource coordination is discussed in spatial divisional multiplex (SDM) coordinated multipoint (CoMP) operations. The higher priority operator conveys SRS resource reservation information identifying the fraction of resources it intends to use. The lower priority operator observes this resource reservation information and selects to reserve SRS resources from the remaining fraction of resources, if any, for scheduling its own users' SRS. The lower priority operator will transmit its own resource reservation information identifying the amount of SRS resources that it has identified for the non-priority use.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to reclaiming of resources in a shared frequency spectrum shared by multiple operators are provided. A first wireless communication device associated with a first operator of a plurality of operators identifies a transmission opportunity in a shared frequency spectrum shared by the plurality of operators, wherein the first operator has priority among the plurality of operators for accessing the shared frequency spectrum in the transmission opportunity. The first wireless communication device communicates with a second wireless communication device associated with the first operator, in the transmission opportunity without a prior reservation of the transmission opportunity.

    Abstract: Estimation of frequency error is disclosed through use of beacon or preamble transmissions. A base station transmits one or more preamble tones at predetermined frequencies using all allocated transmission power associated with the transmission bandwidth for the one or more preamble tones. The base station then transmits its synchronization signals. A UE collects a set of samples from the received transmissions waveform and successively transforms the samples to a frequency domain. The UE may then detect the preamble tones as having at least a threshold power relative to other samples in the transformed samples. The frequency error may then be set as the difference between the detected frequency or frequencies of the received preamble tones and the known predetermined transmission frequency.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may communicate using a dynamic cyclic prefix (CP) length to reduce communications overhead. That is, the wireless device may use a CP length that is changeable for each data packet or listen-before-talk (LBT) frame. For example, the wireless device may initially communicate using a first CP length and then receive a dynamic CP indication for subsequent symbols in one or more data packets or LBT frames. The wireless device may then communicate using the different CP length based on the indication. In some examples, the indicated dynamic CP length may be based on a cell radius of a base station, a data direction, or the location of a user equipment (UE) in relation to the base station.

    Abstract: A base station may provide both an uplink grant and a downlink grant in a same transmission time interval (TTI), and may provide an indication in the uplink grant that the TTI includes the downlink grant. A user equipment (UE) that receives the uplink grant may provide feedback using identified feedback resources in an uplink shared channel, and other uplink transmissions may be rate matched around the feedback resources in the uplink shared channel. A base station receiving the feedback may monitor the feedback resources to determine whether the downlink grant or one or more of the downlink transmissions were successfully received at the UE. A base station, in some examples, may monitor different sets of resources to determine whether certain of the uplink grant, downlink grant, downlink transmissions associated with the downlink grant, or any combinations thereof, have been successfully received at the UE.

    Abstract: Techniques for estimating and reporting channel quality indicator (CQI) are disclosed. Neighboring base stations may cause strong interference to one another and may be allocated different resources, e.g., different subframes. A UE may observe different levels of interference on different resources. In an aspect, the UE may determine a CQI for resources allocated to a base station and having reduced or no interference from at least one interfering base station. In another aspect, the UE may determine multiple CQI for resources of different types and associated with different interference levels. For example, the UE may determine a first CQI based on at least one first subframe allocated to the base station and having reduced or no interference from the interfering base station(s). The UE may determine a second CQI based on at least one second subframe allocated to the interfering base station(s).

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may determine a set of power control parameters for a user equipment (UE) to use in different power control loops. The base station may indicate a power control process for the UE to perform in downlink control information. The UE may identify a subset of the power control parameters to use in a power control loop for the indicated process. In some examples, the power control parameters may be for different sounding reference signal processes, such as uplink channel sounding, downlink channel sounding with channel reciprocity, or cross-link interference. In some other examples, the power control parameters may be for power control loops of different uplink channel configuration. The base station may convey the set of power control parameters to the UE by radio resource control signaling.
