    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for reduced timing between certain downlink communications and responsive uplink communications relative to certain legacy systems (e.g., legacy LTE systems). A user equipment (UE) or base station may be capable of operating using two or more timing configurations that each include an associated time period between receipt of a downlink communication (e.g., a grant of uplink resources or shared channel data) and a responsive uplink communication (e.g., an uplink transmission using the granted uplink resources or feedback of successful reception of the shared channel data). In cases where a UE or base station are capable of two or more timing configurations, a timing configuration for a transmission may be determined and the responsive uplink communication transmitted according to the determined timing configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network device such as a next generation (gNB) may identify control information for transmission on a downlink control channel e.g., a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The network device may identify a candidate set of decoding candidates to which the control information is able to be mapped. In some examples, each decoding candidate may include one or more control channel elements (CCEs). The network device may select, from the candidate set of decoding candidates, an actual set of decoding candidates to which the control information is to actually be mapped, and map the control information into the actual set of decoding candidates. Upon decoding the control information, the network device may transmit the control information within a search space including the actual set of decoding candidates to a user equipment (UE).

    Abstract: Techniques are described for signaling a downlink bandwidth part (BWP) switching event and an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) request in a paired spectrum environment. The base station may transmit uplink scheduling downlink control information (DCI) to a user equipment (UE) that includes the A-CSI request and an identifier for the downlink BWP of the downlink BWP switching event. After receiving the A-CSI request and the downlink BWP, the UE may perform one or more CSI measurements using the downlink BWP. The UE may use physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources associated with the uplink scheduling DCI to transmit the CSI report to the base station. Using these techniques, the base station may be configured to indicate that a downlink BWP switching event is to occur and allocate PUSCH resources to the UE to be used to transmit the CSI report associated with the downlink BWP switching event.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to signaling medium reservation information medium sharing among multiple radio technologies (RATs) are provided. A wireless communication device of a first RAT detects a channel reservation signal of a second RAT in a spectrum shared by the first RAT and the second RAT. The wireless communication device determines whether the channel reservation signal indicates a first transmission opportunity (TXOP) duration or a second TXOP duration that is different from the first TXOP duration. The wireless communication device selects, based on the determination, at least one of performing a backoff or continuing to monitor the spectrum.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitter may include an interference avoidance preamble in a wireless transmission. The interference avoidance preamble may identify resources for transmitting an interference avoidance request associated with the wireless transmission. A receiver may experience interference between the wireless transmission and another wireless transmission, and the receiver may transmit the interference avoidance request using the resources identified in the interference avoidance preamble. The transmitter may receive the interference avoidance request and, in response, may enable an interference avoidance mechanism, for example, a listen before talk (LBT) procedure, a frequency-division multiplexing (FDM) scheme, a time-division multiplexing (TDM) scheme, a spatial multiplexing scheme, or a combination.

One method may include determining symbol level scheduling for symbols allocated to a plurality of user equipments (UEs) within a transmission time interval (TTI); transmitting, in a control channel of the TTI, control information indicating the symbol level scheduling; and communicating, in accordance with the symbol level scheduling, the symbols within the TTI in a plurality of beamformed transmissions. Another method may include receiving, by a UE, control information in a control channel of a TTI; processing the control information to determine a subset of symbols of the TTI allocated to the UE, a symbol length or duration of the subset of the symbols allocated to the UE, and symbol level scheduling for the subset of the symbols within the TTI; and receiving the subset of the symbols based on the control information.

    Abstract: Multi-band Wake-up (MWU) signal transmission and detection is disclosed. A transmitter determines a MWU signal that indicates availability of one or more sub-bands to a first user in a serving cell, and transmits the MWU signal for the one or more sub-bands in the serving cell. A clear channel assessment (CCA) status on the one or more sub-bands that are available to the first user is carried by the payload of MWU signals. The MWU signal includes a first user identifier that identifies the first user as a targeted receiver of the MWU signal. The first user has priority over a second user to utilize the one or more sub-bands. Correspondingly, a receiver receives a MWU signal for one or more sub-bands in the serving cell, decodes a payload of the MWU signal, and determines availability of the one or more sub-bands to the first user based on the payload of the MWU signal.
