Abstract: A method for making a propylene oligomer having a high vinylidene content and a high degree of structural regularity and the propylene oligomer made therefrom. The method of making the propylene oligomer comprises contacting an unbridged metallocene complex with a propylene composition in the presence of a modified methyl aluminum oxide activator compound under suitable oligomerization conditions. The use of the combination of a modified methyl aluminum oxide activator compound with an unbridged metallocene complex has been found to provide increased vinylidene group content and reduced hydrogenated propylene oligomer content.

Abstract: A tubing spool of a wellhead assembly can include a body having a body cavity, a first channel, and a second channel disposed therein, where the body cavity is configured to receive a tubing hanger used to couple to and suspend a tubing string, where the first channel is configured to be in communication with a tubing string cavity within the tubing string, where the second channel is configured to be in communication with an annulus located between the tubing string and a production casing, and where the first channel and the second channel are each configured to facilitate flow of at least one of a plurality of fluids in either direction independently of each other. The tubing spool can also include a first back pressure valve disposed within the first channel and a second back pressure valve disposed within the second channel.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for correcting distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) data. The system can receive a seismic dataset with a plurality of initial seismic phase picks and a plurality of traces, and cross-correlate each of the plurality of initial seismic phase picks using the plurality of traces as reference traces. Each initial seismic phase pick can receive a set of corrected phase picks. The system can calculate a probability density function for each set of corrected phase picks. The system can select a peak of each probability density functions as accurate seismic phase picks. These accurate seismic phase picks can be used for event location in the DAS data.

Abstract: Provided is a blend of a petroleum feedstock and 1-20 wt. % of plastic, based on the weight of the blend, with the plastic comprising polyethylene and/or polypropylene, and the plastic in the blend comprising finely dispersed microcrystalline particles having an average particle size of 10 micron to less than 100 microns, and less than 10 ppm chloride. A process for preparing a blend of plastic and petroleum is provided, comprising mixing together a petroleum feed and a plastic comprising polyethylene and/or polypropylene and heating the mixture above the melting point of the plastic, but less than 500° F. The blend mixture is then hot filtered with the resulting filtered blend mixture being heated to at least 500° F. The heated mixture can then be treated with a chloride removal guard bed. The resulting blend can then be cooled and stored or sent directly to a refinery conversion unit.
