    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to managing dynamic priority-based spectrum access are provided. A first wireless communication device transmits dynamic priority information for accessing a shared spectrum in a transmission opportunity (TXOP). The shared spectrum is shared by a plurality of network operating entities. The first wireless communication device is associated with a first network operating entity of a plurality of network operating entities. The dynamic priority information indicates an access priority of the first network operating entity among the plurality of network operating entities in the TXOP. The first wireless communication device communicates with a second wireless communication device associated with the first network operating entity in the TXOP based on the dynamic priority information.

    Abstract: Over-the-air phase synchronization for reciprocity-based coordinated multipoint (CoMP) joint transmission is discussed. The base stations of the CoMP group and served user equipment (UEs) each transmit phase synchronization reference signals (PSRS). The receiving nodes will compute co-phasing values representing the phase difference between pairs of the PSRS. For example, the difference between two downlink PSRS computed at the UE for a downlink co-phasing value, and the difference between a single PSRS received at two base stations computed at the base station for an uplink co-phasing value. The base stations of the CoMP group may determine a phase compensation by computing the differences between the uplink and downlink co-phasing values and use that phase compensation to adjust communications by the base stations in the CoMP group. In other aspects, the computed co-phasing values may be used to modulate each nodes transmission of its respective PSRS.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may identify a transmission opportunity duration and an allocation for downlink and uplink transmissions, then broadcast a channel reservation request transmission. The broadcast may be sent using unlicensed radio frequency spectrum over a channel that includes multiple-sub-bands. The channel reservation transmission may include the identified duration, allocation, and a channel state information (CSI) request. User equipments (UEs) may receive the broadcast, and respond with a channel reservation response transmission that includes a CSI report, a transmit identity, or an interference threshold indicator. In some cases, some or all of the UEs may transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) in response to an SRS request that is broadcast by the base station. The base station may schedule uplink and/or downlink transmissions to at least a subset of the multiple UEs based on the channel reservation response and/or SRS.

    Abstract: Reference signal and transmitter (Tx)/receiver (Rx) precoding for user equipment (UE) multiplexing in new radio (NR) shared spectrum networks is discussed. In certain reference signals, a base station may schedule multiple UEs for transmission of uplink reference signals within an identified subframe. The base station may transmit a reference signal configuration message, wherein the reference signal configuration message includes a transmission sequence identifier identifying a multiplexing for antenna ports assigned for transmission of the uplink reference signals. The multiplexing may be one or both of frequency divisional multiplexing (FDM) and time division multiplexing (TDM) over the identified subframe. Additional reference signals, transmit precoders may be identified by the base station based on channel inversion calculations of the channel matrix determined based on uplink reference signals.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to spectrum pooling among multiple carriers or operators for peak rate performance improvement are provided. A first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a first reservation request signal to reserve a transmission period in a frequency spectrum shared by a first operator and a second operator. The first wireless communication device and the second wireless communication device are associated with the first operator and a first cell. The first reservation request signal carries a request signature sequence associated with the first cell. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device, data during the transmission period in the frequency spectrum shared by the first and second operators.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for evolved multimedia broadcast multicast service (eMBMS) utilizing enhanced component carriers (eCCs). A wireless system may send unicast data using resources allocated for multicast transmissions (e.g., eMBMS transmissions). The presence of unicast data in a transmission time interval (TTI) scheduled for multicast transmission may be indicated by a control region within the TTI. A UE may monitor the control region to identify the presence of unicast information. A TTI scheduled for multicast transmission may also include reference signals to aid in the demodulation of multicast or unicast data. In some cases, the reference signals may be front-loaded at the beginning or embedded within the TTI. The embedded reference signals may be configured based on the type of data carried by the TTI scheduled for multicast transmission, or by length of the cyclic prefix used by the TTI scheduled for multicast transmission.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may establish a transmission gap between downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) transmissions on a shared radio frequency (RF) spectrum band using time division duplex (TDD). A length of the gap may be based at least in part on a maximum allowed length of a filler signal corresponding to a coverage area of the base station. To reserve the shared band, a user equipment (UE) may communicate the filler signal for a length of time that is based at least in part on the maximum allowed length and a geographic distance between the UE and the base station. UEs farther from the base station transmit the filler signal of shorter lengths before sending an UL transmission, so that the UL transmissions from different UEs arrive at the same time at the base station regardless of the geographic distance between the UEs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for interference cancellation/interference suppression (IC/IS) of neighbor cell transmissions. A UE may receive a downlink transmission from a base station and also receive interfering signals from one or more neighboring base stations. The UE may be configured to perform IC/IS operations on the interfering signals. In order to enhance IC/IS operations, the UE may evaluate whether resource bundling is used for the interfering signals. The UE may modify IC/IS operations for one or more subframes responsive to the evaluation. Modifying IC/IS operations may include, for example, using information related to the bundling at the neighboring base station(s) to cancel the interfering signals from the base station(s).
