Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining which part or operation of one or more Secondary Cell (SCell) activation process (es) to defer or restart when an attempt to simultaneously perform multiple operations of the one or more SCell activation processes would cause interference. For example, radio frequency (RF) tuning and/or automatic gain control (AGC) settling for an SCell activation may be deferred until after a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) for the SCell activation is sent by a UE to the SCell. In another example, RF tuning and/or AGC settling corresponding to the activation of a first SCell may be deferred until after RF tuning and/or AGC settling corresponding to the activation of a second SCell is complete.

Abstract: To reduce the beam reporting latency, a base station may include a sounding reference signal (SRS) indication to a wireless communication device (UE) as part of the transmission configuration information (TCI) transmitted to the UE, allowing the UE to receive a corresponding downlink signal using the same beam (or with the same beam) the UE used to transmit (or with which the UE transmitted) the SRS indicated in the TCI. The SRS may be one of multiple SRSs previously transmitted by the UE. The UE may transmit the multiple SRSs periodically and/or according to semi-persistent scheduling, or it may transmit them aperiodically. Therefore, the UE does not need to report the beam quality, and the base station may perform the necessary beam measurement(s) instead. Various parameters and conditions may be defined for the UE to support SRS-based TCI.

Abstract: A base station (BS) may receive a plurality of repetitions of a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) from a user equipment (UE), and accumulate the received repetitions to obtain a resultant signal. The ability to accumulate repetitions enables the base station to experience a higher probability of successful recovery of the PUCCH payload bits than if decoding were based on the reception of a non-repeated transmission of the PUCCH. The base station may configure the number of repetitions, the temporal gap between the repetitions, and mode of repetition of the PUCCH. In an intra-slot mode, more than one copy may be received from each configured slot, with or without frequency hopping. In an inter-slot mode, one copy is received per configured slot. Different repetitions may be transmitted by the UE in different directions, according to a spatial consistency pattern.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) configured to transmit a scheduling request (SR) to a second UE which causes the second UE to determine a set of sidelink transmission resources for use by the UE. The UE may then receive information regarding a determined set of sidelink transmission resources from the second UE and then transmit sidelink communications using at least a subset of the determined set of sidelink transmission resources. The determined set of sidelink transmission resources may be recommended and reserved or non-reserved resources. The UE may transmit configuration information concerning transmission resources to the second UE to be used in transmitting, the SR. The second UE may monitor the channel for arrival of the resources. The SR may be encoded as a cyclic shift of the SR corresponding to an ACK-only sequence, an ACK/NACK sequence, or a certain sequence of the SR based on a configuration index.

Abstract: A method for Resource Allocation for Msg-3 Transmission on an unlicensed spectrum may include receiving a random access response (RAR) grant comprising a 12-bit frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA) field. If the resource allocation type is type-1 some embodiments may zero padding the FDRA field to interpreting the 12-bit FDRA and determine a starting position of allocated resources where a Scheduled PUSCH Transmission is transmitted in an unlicensed spectrum. Some embodiments may use a virtual Bandwidth Part (BWP) to obtain a starting position and a length of allocated resources.

Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, baseband processors, and methods for performing vehicle-to-everything sidelink communication. A wireless device receives first control information through a sidelink control channel specifying one or more first time slots for the wireless device to transmit a first acknowledgment message over a sidelink feedback channel. The wireless device transmits second control information through the sidelink control channel specifying one or more second time slots for the wireless device to receive a second acknowledgment message over the sidelink feedback channel. The first and second time slots at least partially overlap, and it is determined whether the first data packet or the second data packet has a higher priority. The acknowledgment message associated with the higher priority data packet is transmitted or received during at least a subset of the overlapping time slots.

Abstract: Improved solutions for reliable physical channel, e.g. Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) reception during wireless communications, for example during 3GPP New Radio (NR) communications include continuous channel repetitions that cross slot boundaries, channel repetitions with multiple frequency hops, and joint-repetition channel estimation that uses demodulation reference signals from at least two channel repetitions for the channel estimation. In one aspect, reliable PDSCH reception may have the benefit of aiding target UEs and serving base stations in implementing reliable Multicast and Broadcast Services (MBS).
