    摘要: A method for controlling the thickness of a continuous elongated element made of elastomeric material, applied according to coils wound on a forming support, includes: advancing a head end of the continuous elongated element toward the forming support; subjecting, during the advancement, the continuous elongated element to a first stretching with a first stretch coefficient before applying on the forming support; and subjecting, during the advancement, the continuous elongated element to a second stretching with a second stretch coefficient during the application on the forming support. During the first stretching, a span of the continuous elongated element adjacent to the head end is stretched with a supplementary stretch coefficient greater than the first stretch coefficient, in a manner so as to confer, also to the span adjacent to the head end, a stretch and a section similar or substantially equivalent to those of the rest of the continuous elongated element.

    摘要: A car tyre having a tread that extends in axial direction for a width the tread including a central portion arranged across an equatorial plane, and two lateral portions opposed with respect to the central portion. The central portion is separated from the lateral portions of the tread by two circumferential grooves. The circumferential grooves have a width greater than about 6 mm. The central portion extends in axial direction for a width less than 20% of the width of the tread and includes a plurality of first sipes. Each lateral portion has a width greater than 30% of the width of the tread, and each lateral portion includes, furthermore, a plurality of transversal grooves. The transversal grooves of a lateral portion include at least a first inclined length that extends from a zone proximal to the respective circumferential grooves, moving away from the equatorial plane. The first inclined length has an inclination α≤60° with respect to equatorial plane. Each lateral portion includes a plurality of sipes. The density of the sipes decreases moving away from the equatorial plane.

    摘要: A process for building tyres for vehicle wheels are disclosed, wherein said building process comprises the following steps carried out in a carcass structure building line: a) associating a pair of support rings with a forming drum in a work station for associating support rings; b) building at least one structural component of the tyre being processed on the forming drum provided with said pair of support rings in at least one work station of the carcass structure building line; c) removing the pair of support rings from the forming drum in a work station for removing support rings; d) transferring the pair of support rings dissociated from the forming drum in a temporary storage for support rings; e) building at least one further structural component of the tyre being processed on the forming drum without the pair of support rings in a work station of the carcass structure building line.

    摘要: The invention is related to a process and an apparatus for building tyres. In the process a carcass sleeve (11) comprising at least one carcass ply (3) and a pair of annular anchoring structures (5) is transferred to a shaping drum (14) comprising flange elements (16a, 16h) that are each engageable to one of said annular anchoring structures (5). The carcass sleeve (11) is shaped according to a toroidal configuration by means of mutual axial approaching of the flange elements (16a, 16b). Before shaping, annular grip elements (36) respectively carried by the flange elements (16a, 16b) are radially expanded each inside one of the annular anchoring structures (5) in order to engage the carcass sleeve (11). The annular anchoring structures (5) are moved axially apart from each other before engaging the carcass sleeve (11) by means of the annular grip elements (36).
