Abstract:
A non-volatile memory device includes an array of non-volatile memory cells. When programming the memory cells, a voltage supply source is used that includes multiple independent charge pumps. The independent charge pumps supply the programming voltage to different ones of bit lines in the array of memory cells. Using multiple charge pumps tends to reduce output voltage fluctuations and thereby reduce power loss.
Abstract:
An intracorporeal grasping device includes a tubular member for entering a lumen of a human body and the tubular member having a distal end portion. An elongated core member is disposed within the interior cavity of the tubular member for rotational or slidable movement within the tubular member and the elongated core member having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion. The elongated core member includes a grasping configuration for capturing an object (e.g., clot or debris) therein.
Abstract:
A key for a keyboard includes a keycap having a top surface configured to be contacted for pressing the key down, and having a bottom. The keycap is substantially transparent. An intermediate layer is coupled to the bottom of the keycap. The intermediate layer is translucent and includes a top and a bottom. The top of the intermediate layer faces the bottom of the keycap. A character layer is positioned between the bottom of the keycap and the top of the intermediate layer. A resilient member is coupled to the bottom of the intermediate layer. The resilient member is translucent and is configured to direct light through the intermediate layer, through the character layer, and out from the keycap. The character layer is configured to be lighted for viewing through the keycap.
Abstract:
A semiconductor memory device (104) selectably connectable to an external high voltage power supply (122) is provided. The semiconductor memory device (104) includes a switch (314), a detector (316) and a timing device (318). The switch (314) is connected to external voltage supply signals and selectably couples the external voltage supply signals to memory cells (305) of the semiconductor memory device (104) for memory operations thereof. The external voltage supply signals including a high voltage signal (412) provided from the external high voltage power supply (122) and an operational voltage signal Vcc (402). The detector (316) is connected to the external voltage supply signals for generating a timer activation signal (404) in response to detecting an operational voltage power-on period. The timing device (318) signals the switch (314) to decouple the high voltage signal (412) and the operational voltage signal (402) from the memory cells (305) in response to the timer activation signal (404) and to recouple the high voltage signal (412) and the operational voltage signal (402) to the memory cells (305) a time delay interval thereafter. The time delay interval is determined in response to the high voltage signal (412).
Abstract:
A system and method for deploying an occluding device that can be used to remodel an aneurysm within the vessel by, for example, neck reconstruction or balloon remodeling. The system comprises an introducer sheath and an assembly for carrying the occluding device. The assembly includes an elongated flexible member having an occluding device retaining member for receiving a first end of the occluding device, a proximally positioned retaining member for engaging a second end of the occluding device and a support surrounding a portion of the elongated flexible member over which the occluding device can be positioned.
Abstract:
An advertising system manager, a partner and one or more participating publishers may collectively agree on a revenue sharing arrangement, based on revenue generated from ad conversions, for revenue sharing between publishers and partners such as content providers distributing embedded content links to publishers through the advertising system manager. The advertising system manager may define various components of the revenue sharing arrangement including details of the revenue sharing arrangement and the criteria for offering the revenue sharing arrangement. The partner may separately negotiate with the publisher with respect to the terms of the revenue sharing arrangement. The terms may include a predetermined revenue sharing rate for the partner and the publisher based on the gross revenue received by the advertising system manager.
Abstract:
A method is provided for programming a nonvolatile memory device including an array of memory cells, where each memory cell including a substrate, a control gate, a charge storage element, a source region and a drain region. The method includes receiving a programming window that identifies a plurality of memory cells in the array. A first group of memory cells to be programmed is identified from the plurality of memory cells in the programming window. The first group of memory cells is programmed and a programming state of the first group of memory cells is verified.
Abstract:
A system to provide automated services to heterogeneous devices in a network environment, which includes a device agent residing on each of the heterogeneous devices, a device communicator to register and synchronize the devices via each of the device agents, and a portal server to interface multiple content sources on behalf of the devices, wherein the devices communicate with the portal server via each of the device agents and the device communicator.
Abstract:
A network system is provided that allows relationships between users of the system to be determined, maintained or created. The system may access connection data of users, for example by accessing a user's electronic address book, and from this determine which other users have a selected user as a contact.
Abstract:
A system providing three-dimensional visual navigation for a mobile unit includes a location calculation unit for calculating an instantaneous position of the mobile unit, a viewpoint control unit for determining a viewing frustum from the instantaneous position, a scenegraph manager in communication with at least one geo-database to obtain geographic object data associated with the viewing frustum and generating a scenegraph organizing the geographic object data, and a scenegraph renderer which graphically renders the scenegraph in real time. To enhance depiction, a method for blending images of different resolutions in the scenegraph reduces abrupt changes as the mobile unit moves relative to the depicted geographic objects. Data structures for storage and run-time access of information regarding the geographic object data permit on-demand loading of the data based on the viewing frustum and allow the navigational system to dynamically load, on-demand, only those objects that are visible to the user.
