Abstract:
An apparatus, system, and method for extracting the structure of song lyrics using a repeated pattern thereof are provided. The apparatus includes a lyric extractor extracting lyric information from metadata related to an audio file, a character string information extractor extracting an interlude section and a repeated character string based on the extracted lyric information, a paragraph extractor extracting a paragraph based on the repeated character string and then a set of paragraphs having the same repeated pattern among the extracted paragraphs, and a lyric structure generator arranging an interlude section, a character string, and a paragraph related to the audio file in a tree structure.
Abstract:
A display information controlling apparatus and method are provided. The display information controlling apparatus may select at least one object from one or more objects based on a location of each of the one or more objects on a display and a location on the display corresponding to a user input signal. The display information controlling apparatus may perform a predetermined operation corresponding to the selected at least one object.
Abstract:
A method of controlling a viewpoint of a user or a virtual object on a two-dimensional (2D) interactive display is provided. The method may convert a user input to at least 6 degrees of freedom (DOF) structured data according to a number of touch points, a movement direction thereof, and a rotation direction thereof. Any one of the virtual object and the viewpoint of the user may be determined as a manipulation target based on a location of the touch point.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device including an edge synchronizer which outputs a synchronized strobe signal generated by synchronizing a transition time point of a strobe signal with clock edges of a main clock or a sub clock, a detector which outputs a phase determination signal indicating a phase difference between the main clock and the sub clock in response to the synchronized strobe signal, and a duty ratio corrector which adjusts a duty ratio of the main clock and the sub clock in response to the phase determination signal.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus and method of providing items based on scrolling. An apparatus for processing data of a non-volatile memory according to an aspect of the invention includes a scrolling detecting unit detecting scrolling for one or more items that are displayed on a screen, a screen region control unit dividing the screen into one or more regions according to the detected scrolling, and controlling the sizes of the divided regions, and an item control unit controlling at least one of the sizes and the number of items according to the sizes of the divided regions.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method to tag ID in photos by utilizing geographical positions is provided. The apparatus to tag a photo with an ID based on a relative physical position includes a pose calculation module to calculate the pose of a camera in space photographing subjects, a photographing angle calculation module to calculate an angle at which each of the subjects is photographed, by using the calculated pose information and camera information, a coordinates calculation module to obtain the calculated photographing angle and the predetermined ID information of the subjects and to calculate the relative distance and coordinates between the subjects, a valid subject selection module to identify the subjects located within the photographing angle by using the calculated relative distance and coordinates, and an image tagging module to tag the photographed image ID information of the identified subjects.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for recognizing and searching for a face using 2nd-order independent component analysis (ICA) are provided. The method includes performing PCA on an input original image and generating a low-pass filtered image by removing high-frequency component from the original image, subtracting the low-pass filtered image from the original image and obtaining residual image having only frequency-components, and performing ICA on the residual image and generating feature information corresponding to the original image. While an original ICA subtracts independent components (i.e., independent basis components) from gray scale images, the proposed 2nd-order ICA is robust to illumination variation since it is applied to make the remaining images correspond to high pass frequency components.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for providing music file search function. The apparatus includes an input unit that receives an input of an attribute of a music file to be played, an extract unit that extracts a characteristic segment from the music file according to the input attribute, a 3D-sound generating unit that generates 3D sound from the characteristic segment of the music file along a spatial axis corresponding to the attribute, and an output unit that outputs the 3D sound. The method includes the steps of inputting an attribute of a music file to be played, searching a characteristic segment of the music file according to the input attribute, generating 3D sound from the characteristic segment of the music file along a spatial-axis corresponding to the attribute, and outputting the 3D sound.
Abstract:
A sensing module, and a Graphical User Interface (GUI) control apparatus and method are provided. The sensing module may be inserted into an input device, for example a keyboard, a mouse, a remote controller, and the like, and may sense a hovering movement of a hand of a user within a sensing area, and thus it is possible to provide an interface to control a wider variety of GUIs, and possible to prevent a display from being covered.
Abstract:
A video object detecting apparatus enables a user to not only simply watch the video but also to explore a video using a motion and a posture of the user. In addition, the user may manipulate the video using body motion instead of general input units such as a mouse and a touch system. Also, a video object deforming apparatus enables the user to recognize a difference in motions between an interactive video and the user, and provides the user with a video reflecting the difference.
