Abstract:
An apparatus and method amplifies a delta-sigma modulated signal and delivers the amplified signal to a power amplifier without distortion in a communication system. The apparatus receives a delta-sigma modulated signal, phase-delays the received delta-sigma modulated signal by a multiple of 360° for a bandwidth of the delta-sigma modulated basic signal, and amplifies the phase-delayed signal, facilitating implementation of a high-efficiency delta-sigma modulation-based amplification system.

Accordingly, the clothes treating apparatus can inhibit or remove wrinkles generated at clothes, and can collect water from the steam generating device after operation of the steam generating device is terminated.
Abstract:
A power amplification controlling apparatus and method in a mobile communication system are provided. An amplifying part amplifies an input Radio Frequency (RF) signal with a power supply voltage. A bias adaptation part detects a change in at least one an operation and an environment of the amplifying part, attenuates the RF signal according to the detected change, detecting the envelope of the attenuated signal, and generates a supply voltage control signal according to the envelope. A power supply part changes the power supply voltage in response to the supply voltage control signal.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a single-particle mass spectrometer, which includes a chamber keeping an inside in a vacuum state by a vacuum pump, a cylindrical flying tube installed to communicate with the chamber, an aerodynamic lens installed to the chamber to focus aerosol particles input from outside, a laser generating means for irradiating a laser beam to the particles focused by the aerodynamic lens to emit ions, an extraction acceleration means for extracting the emitted ions and accelerating the ions to fly along the flying tube, and an ion detector installed to an end of the flying tube to detect the ions flying along the flying tube. The extraction acceleration means includes a reflector made of a conductive material with a semispherical shape and to which a relatively high voltage is applied; at least one mesh-shaped grid arranged from the reflector toward the ion detector at regular intervals, and to which a relatively low voltage is applied in comparison to the reflector; a cylindrical electrode; and an Einzel lens. Thus, the ions are biased due to a voltage difference between the reflector and the grid to fly toward the ion detector along the flying tube, and also refracted toward a central axis of the flying tube by means of the cylindrical electrode and the Einzel lens.

A power control method of a base station in a wireless communication system based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is provided for reducing power consumption by turning off the bias of the power amplifier for the duration of a symbol carrying no user data. The method includes checking scheduling information of radio resources, detecting a symbol carrying no user data, based on the scheduling information, and turning off a bias of the power amplifier for a symbol duration of the symbol carrying no user data. The transmission power control method is capable of reducing power consumption of the base station by turning off the bias of the power amplifier of the base station for the symbol duration in which no user data is transmitted.
