摘要: Techniques for tracking a lock involve creating an event comprising object information, and extracting the object information in the event through a thread in a thread pool. Such techniques further involve recording lock information comprising the object information according to a determination that the thread executes a lock operation. Such a lock tracking technique for a threading model can record lock information of an object when a thread performs locking and unlocking, and realize tracking of a lock operation and generating a lock analysis report.

摘要: One example method includes optimizing client-side deduplication. When backing up a client, a cadence and a change log resolution are determined. These values are evaluated alone or in combination with respect to various thresholds. Client-side deduplication is enabled or disabled based on whether any one or more of the thresholds are satisfied.

摘要: Techniques are provided for caching of machine learning model training parameters. One method comprises training a machine learning model using a given training dataset; and caching a parameter of the machine learning model from the training with the given training dataset. The cached parameter of the machine learning model is used for a subsequent training of the machine learning model. The caching may be performed after each of multiple iterations of the training of the machine learning model. A given cached iteration of the training of the machine learning model may be identified using a key based on: (i) a hash of the given training dataset, (ii) a hash of the machine learning model parameter, and/or (iii) hyperparameters of the machine learning model. The caching of a given iteration of the machine learning model may occur when the given cached iteration is not found in a cache memory.

摘要: Workloads, e.g., synthetic workloads, on one or more storage systems in an dynamic, automated manner, for example, to load test the one or more storage systems. A distributed system may be employed in which a workload information server (WIS) serves one or more clients referred to herein as workload control components (WCCs) that analyze workload information of the one or more storage systems, and control the modification of workloads thereon based on this analysis, through the WIS. The WIS also may serve one or more clients referred to herein as workload generation controllers (WGCs) that monitor workloads on the one or more storage systems, report workload information to the WIS and generate, modify or remove workloads on the one or more storage systems according to instructions received from the WIS in response to requests (e.g., hints) from the one or more WGCs.

摘要: A method, computer program product, and computer system for identifying, by a computing device, a number of extents needed for a create snapshot operation to create a snapshot. The number of extents may be added to an in-memory cache. The number of extents needed for the create snapshot operation may be allocated from the in-memory cache to execute the create snapshot operation. Freed extents may be added to the in-memory cache based upon, at least in part, executing a delete snapshot operation to delete the snapshot.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method, an electronic device, and a program product implemented at an edge switch for data encryption. For example, the present disclosure provides a data encryption method implemented at an edge switch. The method may include receiving encryption and decryption information for an encryption operation or a decryption operation from a source device. In addition, the method may include encrypting a data packet received from the source device based on encryption information in the encryption and decryption information to generate an encrypted data packet. The method may further include sending the encrypted data packet to a target device indicated by the data packet. The embodiments of the present disclosure can reduce the computing loads of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, clouds, and servers while ensuring encryption performance, and can also reduce the time delay caused by encryption and decryption operations.

摘要: One example method includes, in a data buffer that includes one or more words and whitespaces, calculating a hash value of data in a window that is movable within the data buffer, comparing the hash value to a mask, and when the hash value matches the mask, identifying a position of the window in the data buffer as a chunk anchor position, searching for a whitespace nearest the chunk anchor position, and designating an offset of the whitespace as a segment boundary.

摘要: A method for managing a client environment includes obtaining, by a client device upgrade manager, an upgrade estimation for a client device executing in the client environment, wherein the upgrade estimation corresponds to an application upgrade for an application, in response to the upgrade estimation: performing an optimal time slot analysis for the client device to identify a set of optimal time slots, presenting the set of optimal time slots to the client device, obtaining, by the client device, a requested time slot for the application, and in response to the requested time slot, initiating an installation of an application upgrade of the application.
