Abstract:
An air conditioner comprising a casing, an air flow passage extending from an air inlet at the upper side of the casing to an air outlet at the lower side of the casing. A cross flow fan is provided within the casing along with a heat exchanger composed by connecting fins through which air is allowed to pass to the outer surface of the heat transfer tube along the lengthwise direction thereof. The heat transfer tube is branched into a plurality of passes in the heat exchanger. The present invention is characterized in that the heat transfer tube is disposed in a direction crossing the axial direction of the cross flow fan. Even if drift of flowing air is caused by the cross flow fan, distribution in the air flow speed and distribution of heat exchanger can be made equal and heat exchanging capacity of high level can be obtained, without causing the trouble of condensed water from the heat exchanger falling into the air flow passage.
Abstract:
Optical urethane resins according to the present invention are each obtained by reacting an active hydrogen compound with an isocyanate compound containing as a stabilizer a phenolic compound. Owing to their low yellowness, high light transmittance and optical-strain-free quality, these resins are useful as optical materials for plastic lenses or the like which are required to be colorless, transparent and uniform.
Abstract:
A cutter for an impact-type cutting machine having a cutter shaft which is eccentrically provided on a drive shaft and is adapted to eccentrically rotate around the drive shaft axis. The cutter has an opening therein into which the cutter shaft is inserted with play therebetween. The hole in the cutter extends in the longitudinal direction of said cutter. A central portion of the hole substantially coincides with the center of gravity of the cutter.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a novel process for preparing 4-acetyl-1-methyl-7-pyridyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-3(2H)-isoquinolinone characterized by condensing 2-acetyl-4-pyridyl cyclohexanone with acetoacetamide. This compound is useful as pharmaceuticals, particularly cardiotonics.
Abstract:
An apparatus for finishing a surface, e.g., for erasing line markings on a road, includes a rotor assembly rotatably mounted on a wheeled frame and including a rotor drivable to rotate about its own axis and a plurality of rotary scrapers mounted in angularly spaced relation on the rotor for free rotation about their own axes extending off center with respect to the axis of the rotor. A plurality of radial scraper tips are mounted circumferentially on each of the rotary scrapers for scraping contact with the surface to be finished. When the rotor assembly is driven, the rotary scrapers are caused to rotate due to frictional engagement with the surface, whereupon the scraper tips are forced to move in arcuate paths while in contact with the surface, to thereby scrape off portions of the surface.
Abstract:
A liquid discharge apparatus includes: a liquid discharge head having a discharge face having a nozzle from which a liquid is discharged to a medium; a carriage, to which the liquid discharge head is mountable, and reciprocally movable in a main-scanning direction; a guide supporting the carriage to guide the carriage to move in the main-scanning direction; a cap to contact and seal the discharge face of the liquid discharge head; a suction device connected to the cap; and a cap cleaner, supported and guided by the guide to move in the main-scanning direction, to drop a cleaning liquid to the cap.
Abstract:
A liquid discharge apparatus includes heads to discharge a liquid; caps to contact and move away from the plurality of heads, respectively; individual drain passages communicating with the plurality of caps, respectively; at least one common drain passage communicating with at least two of the individual drain passages; suction devices provided in the individual drain passages, respectively; and a controller. Each of the individual drain passages is to allow and shut off communication between the cap and the common drain passage. The controller causes the individual drain passage to allow the communication between the cap and the common drain passage when performing capping and decapping of the head. The controller caps the sucking target with the cap after shutting off each individual drain passage communicating with the cap corresponding to the head that is not a sucking target.
Abstract:
An embroidery device includes a needle including a hole through which a thread has been passed, a dyeing unit configured to dye the thread in different colors, an embroidery unit configured to move the needle to perform a sewing process on a medium with the thread dyed in the different colors by the dyeing unit, and a remover configured to remove the linear member in a vicinity of the needle.
Abstract:
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a head including a nozzle plate having a plurality of nozzles lined in a row and configured to discharge a liquid, a conveyor configured to convey the liquid application target, and a liquid receptacle configured to receive the liquid discharged from the head. The conveyor defines a conveyance passage of a liquid application target to which the head applies the liquid. The liquid receptacle has an opening through which the liquid discharged from the head passes. A longitudinal direction of the opening is along a movement direction of the liquid application target. A width of the opening is greater than a width of the liquid application target in a direction orthogonal to the movement direction.
Abstract:
A line head type liquid discharge apparatus includes a treatment liquid applying device, a first discharging device, a heating device, and a second discharging device. The treatment liquid applying device applies a treatment liquid to a non-permeable base material. The first discharging device discharges a first ink containing an organic solvent onto the non-permeable base material to which the treatment liquid has been applied. The heating device heats, with an infrared ray, the non-permeable base material onto which the first ink has been discharged. The second discharging device discharges a second ink containing an organic solvent onto the non-permeable base material heated by the heating device. A content ratio of the organic solvent contained in the first ink is higher than a content ratio of the organic solvent contained in the second ink.
