    Abstract: A box moving device is disclosed. The box moving device changes the position of a box having four side surfaces. The box moving device is equipped with a conveyor and a movement control unit. The movement control unit drives the conveyor to cause the box to move from a first position to a second position. The conveyor can alternately switch between a first state, in which it is contracted along a moving direction of the box, and a second state, in which it is extended along the moving direction of the box. The movement control unit causes the box to move from the first position to the second position by driving the conveyor that is in a holding mode in which it holds at least one of the side surfaces of the box and simultaneously switching the conveyor from the first state to the second state.

    Abstract: A bag making and packaging machine includes a cutter fixed to a sealing member that cuts a laterally sealed portion of a film using pressure force with which a pair of sealing members sandwiches the film during lateral sealing. The bag making and packaging machine further includes a pair of sealing jaws, a knife, a pressurization mechanism, and a pressurization mechanism control part. The knife fixed to one sealing jaw, fusion-cuts the laterally sealed portion of the film. The pressurization mechanism exerts pressure force on one sealing jaw towards the other sealing jaw so that the pair of sealing jaws sandwiches and laterally seals the film therebetween, and the knife comes into contact with a laterally sealed portion and fusion-cuts the laterally sealed portion. The pressurization mechanism control part causes the pressurization mechanism to cease exerting pressure force based on error information pertaining to the film or the goods.

    Abstract: A product management system manages products that are a food and have print surfaces. The product management system has an inspection unit, a first information acquisition unit, and a storage unit. The inspection unit performs an inspection of the products and outputs inspection results as to whether the products are conforming products or nonconforming products. A plurality of pieces of same individual identification information are printed on the print surfaces of the products. The first information acquisition unit reads the individual identification information from the products. The support member is a member attached to the frame and moves a position of the timing hopper between (1) a first mounting position at which the timing hopper receives and retains objects to be weighed and (2) a second mounting position related to attachment and detachment of the timing hopper without changing a fixed state of the timing hopper with respect to the support member.     Abstract: The present invention provides an article alignment device that can inhibit posture disorderliness when articles land on a conveyor belt. The posture of bags when the bags transfer from an input conveyor to a first aligning conveyor is inclined in such a way that the portions of the bags that land on bags already placed on the first aligning conveyor are higher and the portions of the bags that land directly on the first aligning conveyor are lower, so the bags land on the first aligning conveyor before or at the same time that they contact the bags that were placed on the first aligning conveyor before them. Additionally, the frictional force between the first aligning conveyor and the bags is greater than the frictional force between the bags, so sliding between the bags is prevented, as is posture disorderliness.

    Abstract: A case sealing device is disclosed. The case sealing device conveys a cardboard box and simultaneously closes a flap group provided on edges of opening of the cardboard box. The case sealing device includes a folding member, a drive unit, and a control unit. The folding member contacts a flap of the flap group that extends along a conveyance direction of the cardboard box and folds the flap. The drive unit moves the folding member. The control unit controls the drive unit. In operation of folding the flap, a longitudinal direction of the folding member is inclined with respect to the conveyance direction such that the folding member contacts a front edge of the flap in the conveyance direction before other portions of the flap.
