Abstract:
A stimulus-based steering sensor device and a method for the same are disclosed. The sensor device comprises at least one driving wheel, a processor, two driven wheels, and two resolvers. The processor generates a stimulus signal and has a signal-angle lookup table. The driving wheel contacts two driven wheels. When following the rotation of a steering column, the driving wheel drives two driven wheels to rotate at different speeds. Two resolvers connect with the processor, respectively engage with two driven wheels, receive the stimulus signal, and respectively output two first sinusoidal signals to the processor according to the rotational speeds of two driven wheels. The processor analyzes two first sinusoidal signals to obtain two second sinusoidal signals having different periods, and uses the second sinusoidal signals and the signal-angle lookup table to obtain a first absolute angle value of the rotation of the steering wheel.
Abstract:
For automatic problem diagnosis, a data collector module collects log data comprising code sets from a plurality of components in a data processing system. An analysis module translates the log data into at least one predefined symptom. Each symptom is associated with at least one code set of the log data. The analysis module selects from a knowledge base at least one problem that includes each symptom. The analysis module further calculates an influence factor for each problem, and ranks each problem from most likely to least likely based on the influence factor of the problem.
Abstract:
A vehicle stability control method is to be performed by a vehicle stability control system of a motor vehicle, and includes the steps of: detecting an actual yaw rate, and obtaining a plurality of detection values by detecting a vehicle speed and a steering wheel angle, and at least one operation status selected from a lateral acceleration status, a load status and a steering wheel angular speed status; obtaining a plurality of intermediate weight values, from which a steering characteristic value is determined, based on the obtained detection values; obtaining a target yaw rate based on the vehicle speed, the steering wheel angle and the steering characteristic value; and controlling steering of road wheels according to difference between the target and actual yaw rates.
Abstract:
A method, and system employing the method, for service channel reconfiguration at a service outlet includes generating service transaction data of a service outlet, generating queue management system (QMS) data of the service outlet, and generating cost and profit data for the service outlet. Data is extracted from the service transaction data and the QMS data relating to specified parameters including customer experience data, and customer demand data. The service transaction data and the QMS data is integrated with the cost and profit data providing a unified objective function. Stochastic service processes and customer behavior data are modeled. The unified objective function is evaluated using the stochastic service processes and customer behavior data model, and the service channel function of the service outlet is reconfigured using the unified objective function.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a LED module with a reduced operating temperature. The LED module includes a substrate, a plurality of LED chips, a carrier and an encapsulant layer. These LED chips are disposed on the substrate and electrically connected to the substrate and are divided into a first LED chip set and a second LED chip set. The carrier is coupled to the substrate and has a driving circuit. The driving circuit is electrically connected to the plurality of LED chips for driving operations of the plurality of LED chips. The first LED chip set and the second LED chip set emit light in an alternate lighting manner or in a combined simultaneous/alternate lighting manner so as to reduce the operating temperature of the LED module. The encapsulant layer covers the plurality of LED chips, the substrate and the carrier having the driving circuit.
Abstract:
An electronic disk swapping system for a wireless network application processor (AP) includes two or more hard disks connected to the AP by a SCSI bus. A disk selection unit (DSU) is connected to the hard disks and to a user interface. In operation, a user accesses the user interface to select one of the disks from which the AP will boot upon start-up. Based on this selection, a control code is generated and sent to the DSU. Based on the control code, the DSU generates a primary identifier (ID), which is applied to the selected hard disk. The “primary” ID is an identifier that the AP and/or bus associates with a source from which to automatically obtain software upon start-up of the AP. Subsequently, upon start-up, the AP determines which of the disks assigned the primary ID, and boots from that disk.
Abstract:
A web based user interface that enable users to view and control a system running inside a corporate intranet when the user is outside the corporate network. A user interface is provided on a web site so that a user can acquire access to a controller of a system through the Internet. This is securely accomplished over the Internet by receiving security information from a first client over a network, receiving a query from a second client requesting access to the first client over a network, prompting the second client for security information to allow access to the first client, and enabling the second client access to the first client based on the security information provided by the second client.
