A submerged pot roll and other articles for use in galvanizing baths including a metallurgically bonded superalloy cladding layer on a steel core layer. The cladding layer improves the corrosion resistance and dross buildup of the article and improves service life while reducing costs.

A lens assembly suitable for use in miniature cameras is disclosed. The lens assembly can have a plurality of glass lenses having spherical surfaces and a single plastic lens having aspheric surfaces, for example. Optionally, all of the lenses can be disposed within a common lens barrel. A pupil plane can be located just in front of the first lens to provide a small chief ray angle. Both the cost of the lens assembly and alignment sensitivity are advantageously mitigated.

For example, in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, a lens barrel includes a housing comprising a first section having a first diameter and a second section having a second diameter. A first lens element having a diameter approximately equal to the first diameter of the first section is enclosed by the first section of the housing. A second lens element is provided having a diameter approximately equal to the second diameter of the second section.

In code division multiple access communications wherein a plurality of data streams carrying a plurality of transmit symbols are spread by a plurality of assigned spread code, the data streams are divided into a plurality of data blocks and a plurality of prefixes in symbol-level are added to the data blocks prior to the data streams being spread and combined for transmission. At the receive side, the prefixes are removed from the received data stream in the time domain and the prefix-removed data stream is converted into a transformed signal in the frequency domain. A feed-forward filter is used to implement a joint equalization and despreading operation by element-by-element multiplications in frequency domain. A feedback filter is used to remove the intersymbol interference and update the feed-forward filter through a feedback loop.

In accordance with such techniques, a hyperchain annotation methodology is provided. Such an annotation methodology enables interaction between loosely-coupled business processes or interacting partners and business entities. Annotated information components and process components for collaboration may be expressed as links. Further, techniques for realizing an on-demand message exchange, embedded status/state information, flexible collaborative business message exchange patterns, and a collaborative directory are provided.

Disclosed is a method for transmitting a downlink pilot, which serves to solve the problem that the power of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols is different due to Walsh codes. The method includes: transmitting a dedicated pilot in the Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) approach or in the combination approach of CDM and Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM); further, in the resources for transmitting the dedicated pilot, configuring an orthogonal resources for the dedicated pilot according to a set mapping rule.

A method for intra-cluster D2D retransmission comprises: calculating parameters of a first and a second retransmission modes for an acknowledgement device in a cluster at which data from a network node is decoded correctly; reporting the parameters to the network node; and determining whether or not to retransmit the data to at least one non-acknowledgement device in the cluster at which the data from the network node is decoded incorrectly, in response to a selection between the first and the second retransmission modes from the network node based at least in part on the parameters according to a pre-determined criterion.
