Abstract:
A transmitting apparatus comprising circuitry operable to generate a plurality of bit sequences using bits included in a first data block and a second data block, circuitry operable to control the plurality of bit sequences to correspond to a signal point on the phase plane, comprising a bit sequence generating unit operable to control the generation of the bit sequences to adjust an occupation rate occupied with predetermined bits included in the first data block to be closer to an occupation rate occupied with predetermined bits included in the second data block in regard to bit positions of the predetermined bits, based on an error tolerance of the respective bit sequences generated resulting from the correspondence to a signal point on the phase plane, and circuitry operable to transmit the signals obtained by multi-level modulations in accordance with each signal point.
Abstract:
In an error control apparatus on a receiving side using a hybrid ARQ which combines an error correcting encoding method and an automatic repeat request method, a buffer stores hard decision result data or soft output data instead of soft decision information in order to reduce a memory capacity of the buffer, and re-encodes the data stored to be provided to a combiner. Alternatively, the number of bits of the data stored in the buffer is restricted or a memory included in a decoder is used as an HARQ buffer.
Abstract:
In a CDMA transmitting apparatus, a cross-correlation value between different spreading-code sequences used to spread respective ones of a plurality of transmit signals is calculated, an interference interval of a spreading-code sequence is discriminated from the cross-correlation value calculated, and interference noise is reduced by halting transmission of at least one transmit signal, or partially altering at least one spreading-code sequence, with regard to all or part of a spreading-code sequence discriminated to be an interference interval.
Abstract:
In a code division multiple access communicating system, a base station has a receiving means receiving access signals from plural terminal apparatus, and an acknowledge information transmitting means collectively putting acknowledge information to reception of the access signals for the terminal apparatus in a transmission frame when the receiving means receives the access signals from the terminal apparatus and transmitting the frame to the plural terminal apparatus, while each of the terminal apparatus has an acknowledge information receiving means receiving a plural pieces of acknowledge information from the acknowledge information transmitting means of the base station, and a transmitting means again accessing to the base station according to the acknowledge information for its own terminal apparatus among the plural pieces of acknowledge information, thereby avoiding conflict of access timings between the terminal apparatus whose acknowledge information has been put, and thus suppressing a decrease of the throughput.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a handover method, a base station, and a mobile station for a CDMA mobile communication system, to improve the efficiency of inter-frequency handover. Handover is achieved between a mobile station and distributed base stations and the like. The base stations have different traffic channel frequencies. In a normal mode, a signal unit transmitted through a traffic channel consists of four frames. In a compression mode, the base station temporally compresses two normal frames into a single frame period and then transmits the frames twice through the traffic channel. The mobile station switches the reception frequency of a present traffic channel and the reception frequency of a perch channel of the destination base station at intervals of two normal-mode frames at the head of each frame received from the perch channel. The mobile station then restores frames received from the traffic channel in the compression mode to the original frames and processes them. At the same time, the mobile station extracts a system frame number from two frames received from the perch channel.
Abstract:
A receiving apparatus includes a storing unit that stores therein notification information transmitted from a base station, a receiving unit that receives, from among the notification information transmitted by the base station, revision history of change information related to the notification information, and an updating unit that updates the notification information stored in the storing unit on the basis of the change information contained in the revision history received by the receiving unit.

A transmission controlling method for a wireless communication system wherein a plurality of data blocks can be transmitted from a sender apparatus having a plurality of sending antennas to a receiver apparatus, the transmission controlling method includes on the sender apparatus, sending process information which is not competitive between data blocks to the receiver apparatus with a control channel; and sending the data block to the receiver apparatus; and on the receiver apparatus, receiving the data block and the process information from the sender apparatus.
Abstract:
A transmission controlling method for a wireless communication system wherein a plurality of data blocks can be transmitted from a sender apparatus having a plurality of sending antennas to a receiver apparatus, the transmission controlling method including on the sender apparatus, sending process information which prevent plurality of data blocks from competing to the receiver apparatus with a control channel; and on the receiver apparatus, combining, based on the process information, the data block received already and a re-sent data block.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system including a base station and a wireless terminal, the method includes at the wireless terminal, selecting first information used for first random access or second information used for second random access; and transmitting, during or after the completion of random access using selected information, third information to be transmitted to the base station during random access using information which is not selected, the third information being used by the wireless terminal until the random access using information which is not selected is finished.
Abstract:
A control method in a mobile communication system, that includes configuring a timer corresponding to packet data for discarding the packet data according to a value of the timer; maintaining the value of the timer corresponding to the packet data when a handover is performed without restarting or resetting the value of the timer; and discarding the corresponding packet data when the maintained value of the timer reaches a given value.
