The invention is a spring-driven toy vehicle having front and rear chassis portions, at least one front wheel and at least one rear wheel. The front chassis portion is hingably connected to the rear chassis portion. The chassis portions are capable of a pivotal motion relative to one another from a first undeflected position to a second deflected position. A drive motor is mounted to one of the front and rear chassis portions. The motor contains a motor spring. A drive axle is operably connected with the motor spring. The drive axle is connected to at least one front wheel or one rear wheels to rotate the at least one connected wheel. A rotational coupling is configured to transfer the pivotal motion of the chassis portions relative to one another into a rotational motion to wind the motor spring.

A sound activated toy vehicle includes a body, a chassis, and a motor. The chassis accommodates the body and has at least a front wheel and a rear wheel. The motor is drivingly connected to at least one of the front wheel and the rear wheel. The toy vehicle also includes a sound transducer configured to generate an electrical signal in response to detected sound. The toy vehicle also includes a controller having an input electrically connected to the sound transducer and an output electrically connected to the motor. The controller changes the output to the motor when the electrical signal is received by the input from the sound transducer. The toy vehicle also includes a vehicle accessory having an exterior portion. The vehicle accessory is mounted for movement between a first position and a second position by mechanical power from the motor.

The disclosed audio signal processing system produces an acoustic signal in a listening space and includes devices for generating a desired volume signal, a noise signal representative of ambient noise conditions in the listening space, and an audio signal. The system further includes a variable gain amplifier for amplifying the audio signal in response to a gain control signal and a device for generating the gain control signal in response to a volume control signal. The volume control signal is generated in response to the noise and desired volume signals so that the volume control signal increases in response to increases in the noise signal. The volume control signal increases at a rate of increase and the rate of increase decreases as the volume control signal increases.

An electronic bait box assembly for storing earthworms includes a box for containing earth and earthworms. A lid is removably attached to the box for closing the box. A voltage unit is coupled to the bait box and the voltage unit is in electrical communication with an interior of the box. Moreover, the voltage unit is placed in electrical communication with the earth that is positioned in the box. The voltage unit induces an electrical voltage through the earth when the voltage unit is turned on. In this way the voltage unit urges the earthworms to move upwardly in the earth thereby facilitating a user to remove the earthworms for fishing bait.

The present invention is solar collection data device having a main housing with means to measure and record the sun's radiance over a period of time encased in the housing. The main housing is mounted to a platform. The platform has means to attach to a variety of surfaces, including a roof. A photovoltaic cell and a photo sensor are integrally formed in the cover of the main housing. The output of the photovoltaic cell and the photo sensor will be logged and used in determining the amount of sunlight reaching the unit.

Systems and methods are disclosed for generating an image for a user based on an image captured by a scene-facing camera or detector. The user's position relative to a component of the system is determined, and the image captured by the scene-facing detector is modified based on the user's position. The resulting image represents the scene as seen from the perspective of the user. The resulting image may be further modified by augmenting the image with additional images, graphics, or other data.

The barrier properties of a water soluble gas barrier material are improved if the material is blended with a nanoparticle calcium carbonate having a size of from 10 to 250 nanometers. The barrier material is on a substrate to provide a substrate with gas barrier properties. A layer of heat sealable material may be applied to the exposed surface of the barrier material. A method for making the barrier coated substrate is disclosed.
