Abstract: A process for producing polyurethane elastomers in which a polyester diol is formed with a molecular weight between 3000 and 30,000 and is then reacted with a diisocyanate. ##STR1## wherein A is D, --(CH.sub.2) .sub.m O--.sub.n or ##STR2## B is --(CH.sub.2 --or --CH= CH-- and D is a bivalent residue formed by removing the hydroxyl group from one of the following diols:Bis-[5,5-dimethyl-3- (2-hydroxyethyl)-hydantoinyl]-methane,Sebacinic acid-di-{1-methyl-2-[3-(2-hydroxyethyl]-4,4-dimethyl-hydantoinyl}-ethyl ester,1,3-di-(2-hydroxyethyl)-5,5-dimethyl hydantoin1,3-di-(2-hydroxyethyl)-benzimidazolone1,3-di-(2-hydroxyethyl)-4,5,6,7-tetrabromo bezimidazolone1,3-di-(2-hydroxyethyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-bezimidazoloneBis-[5,5-dimethyl-3-(2-hydroxypropyl)-hydantoinyl]-methane1,3-di-(2-hydroxypropyl)-5,5-dimethyl hydantoin or1,3-di-(2-hydroxypropyl)-benzimidazolonee, m and n being whole numbers.

Abstract: A tire body of elastomeric material, terminating in two beads on opposite sides of its cavity, has a sole free of reinforcing cords carrying a tread on its outer surface and a belt of elastomeric material disposed either between the tread and the body or on the inner body surface. The belt has a stress/strain ratio at 20.degree. C and with 50% elongation which is at least 30% higher than the corresponding stress/strain ratio of the tire body.

Abstract: A molded vehicular tire is internally partitioned by a set of angularly equispaced webs integral with its toroidal casing, the webs being separated from the inner wall surfaces of the casing by arcuate gaps extending laterally from the region of its sole but terminating short of its beads. The webs, attached to the tire casing at three points, act as reinforcements allowing the tire to be used even without internal air pressure.
