Abstract:
An image reproducing apparatus wherein latent images are formed on an image retainer by a plurality of latent image forming device and the latent images are developed by developing means to which a developing bias is applied. The developing bias can be applied in accordance with the difference of the latent image forming device. One of the latent image forming device is a continuous tone latent image forming device and the other is a dispersed tone latent image forming device.
Abstract:
A developing method for an electrostatic latent image comprises the steps of applying and retaining a layer of developer on a supporting sleeve, conveying the developer on the supporting sleeve to a development area, and regulating the quantity of the developer on the supporting sleeve by a developer regulating device before the developer is conveyed to the development area. The regulating step includes impressing a bias voltage so as to establish a field between the supporting sleeve and the regulating device in order to selectively retain developer on the supporting sleeve which has a desired polarity and quantity of charge for development. The developer regulating device may be a sleeve rotated in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the supporting sleeve, and has a bias voltage impressed thereon.

Abstract:
A heat exchanger support structure has a heat exchanger, a heat exchanger support supporting the heat exchanger, and motor fan units. The heat exchanger support is integrally formed with motor fan shroud portions for directing the air flow caused by motor fans. Electric motors driving the fans are respectively surrounded by a cylindrical shroud member, which has stays received in holding portions formed on the shroud portion with an elastic member interposed between the stay and the holding portion. The arrangement of the shroud member, the motor fan unit, and the elastic member functions as a dynamic damper.
Abstract:
A radiator core support structure is a member to be mounted on a front portion of a vehicle body for supporting a radiator. The radiator core support structure comprises an upper elongate member made of metal, a lower elongate member made of metal and a hood lock stay portion made of molded plastic. The hood lock stay portion has an upper end integrally connected to the upper elongate member and a lower end that is shaped to grip an intermediate portion of the lower elongate member. The connection between the hood lock stay portion and each of the upper and lower elongate members is integrally carried out by injection molding.
Abstract:
A color image forming apparatus includes a photoreceptor drum having an outer diameter of 50 mm to 100 mm and a rotational axis, four charging devices for charging the photoreceptor drum, and four exposure devices, provided inside the photoreceptor drum, for imagewise exposing an inner surface of the photoreceptor drum to form respective four latent images. Four developing devices are provided outside the photoreceptor drum at an upper section thereof for developing respective ones of the four latent images using respective different one-component type color developers to form four different color toner images in a superimposed manner on an outer surface of the photoreceptor drum during one rotation thereof the photoreceptor drum. Each developing device has a developing roller for conveying the respective one-component type developers to the outer surface of the photoreceptor drum, and the four developing devices are arranged along an outer circumference of the photoreceptor drum in a manner such that a rotational axis of each of the developing rollers is located within a central angle of 180.degree.. In addition, a transfer device is provided at a lower section of the photoreceptor drum for transferring the superimposed four different color toner images from the outer surface of the photoreceptor drum to a sheet. The transfer device includes an inlet sheet passage and an outlet sheet passage, and the outlet sheet passage is arranged either coplanar with the inlet sheet passage or inclined with respect to the inlet sheet passage at an angle between 10.degree. above the inlet sheet passage and 30.degree. beneath the inlet sheet passage.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a reversing unit for reversing a two-sided document and placing the document on a platen, a reading unit for reading image data of either a front or back side of the document placed on the platen by the reversing unit, and at least one of: (i) a first detecting/setting unit for providing first information representing a position on which a binding margin of the document is located and a direction in which a top or bottom portion of the document is directed, and (ii) a second detecting/setting unit for providing second information representing a position on which a binding margin of an image to be printed is located and a direction in which a top or bottom portion of the image to be printed is directed. An image converting unit is provided for converting the read image data into output image data according to at least one of: (i) the first information with respect to the position of the binding margin of the document and the direction of the document, and (ii) the second information with respect to the position of the binding margin of the image to be printed and the direction of the image to be printed. And a writing unit is provided for printing the image to be printed according to the output image data.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a first image carrier for carrying a toner image formed thereon; a second image carrier for carrying the toner image transferred from the first image carrier and for conveying a recording sheet; a first transfer device for transferring the toner image carried on the first image carrier onto the second image carrier or an obverse side of the recording sheet; a second transfer device for transferring the toner image carried on the second image carrier onto a reverse side of the recording sheet and a fixing device for fixing the toner image transferred on the recording sheet. The second image carrier is provided with a curved portion at an end on a side of the fixing device, at which the recording sheet conveyed by the second image carrier is bent toward the reverse side of the recording sheet so as to separate the recording sheet from the second image carrier. A conveyor is provided between the curved portion and the fixing device, having rotatable spurred wheels each equipped with a plurality of protrusions on a circumferential surface thereof for conveying the separated recording sheet to the fixing device, wherein the spurred wheels contact to guide the obverse or reverse side of the recording sheet so that a moving direction of the recording sheet is changed toward a side which is opposite to the side where the spurred wheels contact the recording sheet.
Abstract:
In an image forming apparatus provided with an image carrying member, a toner image forming device, an intermediate image carrying member, a first transfer member, and a second transfer member, toner images are formed on both sides of a sheet. The toner images on the both sides of the sheet is fixed by a fixing device having a heater and a pair of fixing rollers. A detecting device detects at least one of a temperature of the fixing members, a material of the sheet and a size of the sheet, and a controller changes an image forming interval in accordance with at least one of the temperature of the fixing members, the material of the sheet and the size of the sheet detected by the detecting device.
