    Abstract: A wireless access point may be configured to advertise, to mobile user devices, multiple wireless networks available through the wireless access point. For example, service set identifiers (SSIDs) may be specified within an information element (IE) of a communication such as, for example, an 802.11 beacon, broadcasted to mobile user devices. Such an IE may utilize the capability provided by IEEE 802.11 itself to use additional and flexible numbers of information elements within a beacon. Accordingly, networks that would otherwise remain hidden due to limitations of known wireless access points are made visible to mobile user devices. Configuring a wireless access point to advertise multiple available wireless networks, for example, by firmware upgrades, may serve as a viable and cost-effective interim solution and/or alternative to replacing a wireless access point with a wireless access point configured to implement virtual wireless access points.

    Abstract: A cryogenic adsorption pump, system and method including adsorbent material contained in a first container, wherein the first container is cooled inside of a second container. The second container is filled with a cryogenic liquid to effectuate the cooling of the first container, creating a vacuum in the first container. A valve of the first container is opened, thereby allowing the vacuum to collect an air sample many times the volume of the first container, and allowing the adsorbent material to collect and contain airborne particles.     Abstract: A spread spectrum base station comprises an automatic gain control (AGC) circuit having an input configured to receive a received spread spectrum signal and gain control the received spread spectrum signal to produce a gain controlled signal. A correlation circuit has an input configured to receive the gain controlled signal and correlate the gain controlled signal with a code to produce a despread signal. A power measurement and comparator circuit is configured to receive the despread signal and a control level of the AGC circuit. The circuit processes at least the despread signal and the control level to produce a processed signal and compares the processed signal with a threshold to produce a comparison signal. The comparison signal is used to produce a power command. A multiplexer multiplexes the power command with a signal for transmission over an antenna.

    Abstract: A brush for in situ cleaning of one or more passageways defined by a medical device. The brush includes a NiTiNOL shaft attached to a fill section by way of a proximal connector sleeve that is resistance welded to the fill section and the shaft. The fill section is preferably composed of braided wire and includes bristles, or fill, interweaved with the braided wire. The fill section in turn, is attached to an atraumatic tip by way of a distal connector sleeve which is resistance welded to the fill section and the atraumatic tip. The atraumatic tip includes a NiTiNOL core wire about which is disposed a gold-plated tungsten coil readily visible under a fluoroscope. The coil is bonded to the core wire. A bulb disposed on the coil helps effectuate cleaning of the passageway while also protecting the patient and the medical device from cleaning-related trauma.
