Abstract:
A measuring transducer, comprises at least one measuring tube for conveying a flowing medium. The measuring tube vibrates at least at times during operation. The measuring transducer further comprises a sensor arrangement, which serves to register oscillations of the measuring tube. The measuring tube extends with an oscillatory length between an inlet-side, first measuring tube end and an outlet-side, second measuring tube end, and, during operation, oscillates about an oscillation axis, which is parallel to or coincides with an imagined connecting axis which imaginarily connects the two measuring tube ends. By means of a first oscillation sensor, which is arranged on the measuring tube, the sensor arrangement produces a first primary signal representing vibrations of the measuring tube, and by means of a second oscillation sensor, which is arranged on the measuring tube spaced from the first measuring sensor, the sensor arrangement produces a second primary signal representing vibrations of the measuring tube. The oscillation sensors of the sensor arrangement are placed in the measuring transducer in such a way that a measuring length of the measuring transducer corresponds to less than 65% especially less than 55% of the oscillatory length, and greater than 25%, especially greater than 30% of the oscillatory length.
Abstract:
A method of processing information and producing search response is performed at a server system. A search query is received from a client system or device. An Internet database is searched to identify a set of documents accessible via the Internet that match the search query, and a first response having information identifying at least a portion of the identified set of documents is generated. In addition, a determination is made as to whether the search query meets predefined criteria associated with current time inquiries. If the search query is determined to meet the predefined criteria associated with current time inquiries, a second response specifying a current time for at least one location is generated, and the first response and second response are returned to the client system or device for simultaneous display at the client system or device.
Abstract:
A monitoring system for at least one wind turbine includes at least one sensor disposed at the at least one wind turbine to detect wind friction at the at least one wind turbine. At least one controller is connected to the at least one wind turbine, and a monitor server is connected to the controller to change an operational status of the at least one wind turbine based on wind friction data received from the at least one sensor. A method of operation of at least one wind turbine includes continuously measuring data relative to wind friction at the at least one wind turbine via at least one sensor located thereat. The data is continuously compared to a predetermined wind friction threshold. A trend in the comparisons is evaluated, and the operational status of the wind turbine is changed via a monitor server based on a result of the comparison.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer readable-media for enriching spoken language translation with prosodic information in a statistical speech translation framework. The method includes receiving speech for translation to a target language, generating pitch accent labels representing segments of the received speech which are prosodically prominent, and injecting pitch accent labels with word tokens within the translation engine to create enriched target language output text. A further step may be added of synthesizing speech in the target language based on the prosody enriched target language output text. An automatic prosody labeler can generate pitch accent labels. An automatic prosody labeler can exploit lexical, syntactic, and prosodic information of the speech. A maximum entropy model may be used to determine which segments of the speech are prosodically prominent. A pitch accent label can include an indication of certainty that a respective segment of the speech is prosodically prominent and/or an indication of prosodic prominence of a respective segment of speech.

Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for compensating for differences in communication system transmit and receive clock signal frequencies include buffer timing modification and sample addition. In buffer timing modification, a buffer clock signal is interrupted as needed to slow the rate of data through the buffer. In sample addition, pseudo samples are inserted into a data stream to compensate for timing differences.

Abstract:
This invention involves approximating a gray scale tone with a more limited range image producer, a process known as screening. This invention reduces the time needed for such screening by discriminating when screening is not needed. In a first embodiment, the rendering process produces a minimally enclosing bounding box surrounding all rendered objects. In an alternative embodiment, scan lines including any part of a rendered object are noted. The screening makes better use of memory by dividing each row of a preference matrix into segments. The lookup tables associated with these segments are sequentially loaded into a memory cache. Input pixels mapping into the loaded segment lookup tables are screened. Then the lookup table associated with the next segment of the preference matrix are loaded into the memory cache and used to screen input pixels mapping into that segment. The method of packs two output pixels into a single data word while multi-level screening even when the preference matrix has an odd row length by alternating consideration of M−1 input pixels and M+1 input pixels, where M is the row length.
