Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The UE may select one or more of the component carriers (CCs) of a carrier aggregation, and may transmit a sidelink synchronization signal (SLSS) and a physical sidelink broadcast channel (PSBCH) on the one or more selected CCs. The UE may encode the PSBCH to include a plurality of parameters related to the sidelink operation, wherein the plurality of parameters are to be propagated across all of the CCs of the plurality of CCs for the sidelink operation. The UE may transmit one or more physical sidelink shared channels (PSSCHs) in accordance with the carrier aggregation, and further in accordance with the plurality of parameters propagated across the plurality of CCs.

Abstract: Implementations of this disclosure generally may relate to the field of wireless communications. More specifically, implementations described in this disclosure relate to different 3GPP LTE and LTE-A system enhancements to address the issue and support reliable V2X operation in the high mobility environments. Several solutions to improve the V2X system performance in the high mobility vehicular channel propagation conditions are described. Some aspects relate to the suggestion of a new DMRS patterns within individual subframes that promote more accurate CFO estimation. Moreover, another aspect provides DMRS mapping or puncturing patterns to transmit individual DMRS in a periodic pattern on respective OFDM/SC-FDMA symbols so that they do not occupy all REs of the OFDM/SC-FDMA symbols, respectively.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to selecting a Local Management Function (LMF) in a wireless communication network, a next generation Radio Access Network (NG-RAN) acquires a capability from a user equipment (UE), the capability indicating whether the UE is capable of supporting LMF in Radio Access Network (RAN). An access and mobility management function (AMF) is then notified whether the UE is capable of supporting LMF in RAN. An LMF selection is then received from the AMF. Then a response is transmitted to the UE based on the received LMF selection, the response indicating whether a positioning procedure to be carried out by the UE is based on LMF in RAN. In this manner, the capabilities of the UE are taken into consideration when selecting an LMF for a positioning procedure.

Abstract: A vehicle may wirelessly communicate with another vehicle via a physical channel (a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) channel) that is robust and reliable under high mobility propagation conditions. The physical channel may be created by modifying an existing long-term evolution (LTE) physical channel, such as an LTE sidelink (SL) channel. For instance, the V2V physical channel may be created by increasing, by a particular factor, the subcarrier spacing of legacy LTE channels (e.g., from 15 kilohertz (kHz) to 30 kHz). Additionally, a symbol duration and a fast Fourier transform (FFT) size for the V2V physical channel may each be reduced by the same factor. Doing so may enable the V2V physical channel to be implemented without significant modifications to other aspects of the LTE standard.

The UE may transmit, in accordance with the legacy TTI, a legacy physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) to indicate, to legacy UEs, the V2V sidelink transmission by the UE. The UE may transmit, in accordance with the selected short TTI, a short PSCCH (sPSCCH) to indicate, to non-legacy UEs, the V2V sidelink transmission by the UE.

The gNB may select, for the V2V sidelink transmission of the prioritized message, one or more PRBs and one or more sub-frames. The gNB may transmit, to the UE and to other UEs, a downlink control message that indicates: the selected PRBs, the selected sub-frames, and that the other UEs are to mute sidelink transmissions in the selected PRBs in the selected sub-frames to enable the V2V sidelink transmission of the prioritized message.
