    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a UE (User Equipment). In one embodiment, the method includes transmitting a Scheduling Request (SR) on a first uplink bandwidth part (BWP). The method further includes receiving a response for the SR on a first downlink BWP. The method also includes detecting a beam failure when using the first uplink BWP and the first downlink BWP. In addition, the method includes transmitting a beam failure recovery (BFR) request to a network node on the first uplink BWP. Furthermore, the method includes receiving a control signalling on a second downlink BWP from the network node after transmitting the BFR request, wherein the control signalling is a response for the BFR request and the second downlink BWP is associated with the first uplink BWP.

    Abstract: Method and apparatus for a user equipment (UE) operating in a serving cell is disclosed. The UE, in a first RRC_CONNECTED state, transmits an interest indication for a broadcast or a multicast service to a first serving cell. The interest indication includes at least some information associated with a broadcast or a multicast service. Upon entering a second RRC_CONNECTED state from an RRC_INACTIVE state, the UE may or may not send an interest indication to a second serving cell, taking into account the differences between the first and second serving cell, whether the second serving cell requested transmission of an interest indication, or whether the content of the second interest indication would be the same as the content of the first interest indication. A network node may retain UE context and other UE-related information after the UE has left an RRC_CONNECTED state, forward the information to another network node, and/or process the information when the UE re-enters the RRC_CONNECTED state.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for a first UE for resource allocation on relay channel in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the method includes the first UE receives a transport block from a second UE, wherein the transport block contains a MAC control element. In addition, the method includes the first UE triggers a BSR. The method also includes the first UE triggers and transmits a SR (Scheduling Request) to a base station when the first UE has no data available for transmission and has no uplink resource for transmission of the BSR. The method further includes the first UE triggers and transmits the BSR to the base station, wherein the BSR considers the MAC control element as part of buffer size.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first device for performing sidelink communication. In one embodiment, the method includes the first device being configured with network scheduling mode for sidelink by a base station. The method further includes the first device being configured with a first set of resources with a first time pattern for sidelink transmission through a dedicated signaling. The method also includes the first device using the first set of resources to perform sidelink transmission when the first device does not detect beam failure. Furthermore, the method includes the first device detecting a beam failure between the first device and the base station. In addition, the method includes the first device using the first set of resources to perform sidelink transmission to a second device when the beam failure is not resolved.
