摘要: An automatic pressure and temperature control apparatus and method for use in curing tire assemblies including retread tire assemblies is provided. Using water as a heating medium, a new process control method and apparatus is described that allows a more precise control of process variables during steady state conditions such that heat transfer is improved and the undesirable formation of steam is eliminated. Existing processes and equipment for curing tire assemblies can be modified, using the teaching disclosed herein, to implement and achieve the benefits of the present invention.

摘要: A computer program that can be installed on a web server to assemble web pages that can be accessed over the Internet by password to prepare financial planning reports for a client. The program takes gross income, subtracts income taxes, subtracts all money put into savings programs, and whatever is left is what the client spends in a given year or month. It further itemizes and subtracts the monthly payments for debt service since these items will be fully amortized or paid off at some point in the future and should not be included in baseline living expenses that will continue through a person's lifetime. The balance left after these calculations are completed represents the individual's current annual living expenses or standard of living that needs to be sustained throughout their lifetime with adjustments for inflation. The program can produce three major reports: (1) an income and expense report; (2) an asset and liability report or balance sheet; and (3) a cash flow report that shows all of items that impact cash flow on a year by year basis throughout the rest of the individual or client's lifetime. If there are cash flow shortfalls in any year, the program uses a two step present value calculation to determine how much the individual would need in a lump sum today or contribute monthly or annually to provide sufficient funds in the year needed to fill the shortfall.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a banded doorsill base for disposition between a pair of doorjambs of a door frame. The doorsill base includes an elongate central portion formed from a polymeric material having a first coefficient of linear expansion, and first and second wooden strips bonded to and extending along opposite sides of the central portion for constraining the central portion and preventing linear expansion thereof. The first and second strips are formed from a material having a second coefficient of linear expansion less than the first coefficient. The first and second strips substantially prevent linear expansion of the central portion. The present invention also relates to a method of forming the banded doorsill base, and to a doorsill assembly having a banded doorsill base.

摘要: A boiler assembly having a unique burner box construction and a modular heat exchanger. The burner box has a primary diffuser upstream from a plurality of burners for evenly distributing a flow of air to and around the burners. The burner box also has a secondary diffuser downstream from the burners for mixing the fuel-air mixture exiting the burners with the air which flowed around the burners to create a final fuel-air mixture which can sustain stable and quiet combustion. The heat exchanger comprises a plurality of sections which define passageways for the combustion gases and circulating fluid. Reticulated ceramic cylinders are located within some of the combustion gas passageways immediately downstream of the burners to enhance heat transfer.
