Abstract: An implant includes a frame comprising a tubular body formed by a plurality of interconnected struts that are manufactured to reduce stresses and strains resulting from component interaction during chronic use. At least a portion of a longitudinal corner of one or more struts of the frame may be chamfered, rounded, or otherwise modified to distribute stresses experienced at the strut corner throughout the strut body. Chamfering and/or rounding corners along at least a portion of a strut of the frame may reduce stresses on the frame caused by interactions between the frame and other components of the implant. The implant may be manufactured by cutting (e.g., laser cutting) a plurality of struts from a tubular metal alloy, polymer, or the like forming the tubular body, and softening at least a portion of an edge of the strut by cutting, grinding, and/or micro-blasting the edges of the corner.

Abstract: An occlusive implant system may include a catheter having a lumen extending from a proximal opening to a distal opening, a core wire slidably disposed within the lumen, and an occlusive implant having an expandable framework configured to shift between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, and an occlusive element disposed on the expandable framework. The expandable framework may include a plurality of anchor members extending radially outward from the expandable framework, at least some of the plurality of anchor members each have a barb projecting circumferentially therefrom. The occlusive implant may be releasably connected to a distal portion of the core wire.

Abstract: An implantable device which shifts between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. The implantable device may be delivered transluminally in a collapsed delivery configuration to a treatment site, whereupon the implantable device may be expanded to a deployment configuration. As the implantable device is expanded to the deployment configuration, the proximal end of the implantable device remains coupled to a delivery and/or deployment device. The implantable device is configured such that while the proximal end may be constrained by being coupled to the delivery device, the distal end is not impeded from expanding to within greater than 90% of its fully expanded configuration when not coupled to the delivery device.

Abstract: An example system for detecting leakage around an occlusive implant disposed in the left atrial appendage includes an elongate shaft having a port disposed at a distal end region thereof and a first sensor disposed adjacent the elongate shaft. The elongate shaft is configured to be positioned adjacent the occlusive implant such that the first sensor is positioned on a first side of the occlusive implant and the port is positioned on a second side of the occlusive implant. Further, the first sensor is configured to measure a first parameter and the first parameter is utilized to determine a fluid leak between the occlusive implant and a tissue wall defining the left atrial appendage.
