    Abstract: A method is provided for reducing emissions from a hybrid vehicle having an exhaust aftertreatment system. The method includes: receiving, by a controller, emissions data regarding an emissions level of a hybrid vehicle having an exhaust aftertreatment system from a sensor; determining, by the controller, that the emissions level is at or above a predefined threshold; adjusting, by the controller, an operating point of an engine of the hybrid vehicle based on the emissions level being at or above the predefined threshold; and controlling, by the controller, an elector motor in response to the adjustment of the operating point of the engine to compensate for a change in power output from the engine and to reduce the emissions level to below the predefined threshold.

    Abstract: A system includes a first heater positioned in or proximate to an exhaust aftertreatment system in exhaust gas-receiving communication with an engine, a second heater positioned downstream of the first heater, and a controller coupled to the first and second heaters. The controller is structured to determine, based on information indicative of a temperature regarding the exhaust aftertreatment system, that the temperature is below a temperature threshold; receive information regarding a characteristic of a battery coupled to the first heater and the second heater; control the temperature regarding the exhaust aftertreatment system without using the first or second heaters in response to determining that the characteristic of the battery is below a first threshold; and control a temperature regarding the exhaust aftertreatment system using the first heater in response to determining that the characteristic of the battery is above the first threshold but below a second threshold.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides A vehicle hazard management system mounted to a vehicle having a high voltage system, comprising: a sensor configured to provide an activation signal in response to at least one of a collision involving the vehicle, a fault of the high voltage system, and at least partial submersion of the vehicle; a controller in communication with the sensor, the controller being configured to receive the activation signal and respond by generating an emergency message including information describing at least one of the make, model and year of the vehicle; and a transmitter coupled to the controller and configured to transmit the emergency message to an emergency communication device.
