    摘要: An ink-jet recording element is provided comprising a polymeric film substrate or a resin coated paper substrate and at least one ink-receiving layer coated thereon comprising at least one binder and at least one mordanting agent characterized in that said mordanting agent comprises a polymer containing a phosphonium moiety. Preferably said mordanting agent consists of a copolymer of ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing a phosphonium moiety co-polymerized with N-vinyl imidazole or 2-methyl-2-vinyl imidazole and optionally other co-polymerizable monomers or of a mixture of from 5 to 70% by weight, of a polymer containing a phosphonium moiety, and obtained by homo- or co-polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers and from 30 to 95% by weight, of a second polymer, which is free from cationic groups and has been obtained by homo- or co-polymerization of N-vinyl imidazole or 2-methyl-2-vinyl imidazole and optionally other co-polymerizable monomers.

    摘要: A method of printing is disclosed which comprises the steps of (i) providing a lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a support and a heat- or light-sensitive coating; (ii) image-wise exposure of the coating to heat or light; (iii) prior to step (ii) or (iv), mounting the lithographic printing plate precursor in a printing unit of a printing press, said printing unit comprising a dampening system and an inking system; (iv) development by supplying a processing liquid to the coating by means of the dampening system, thereby obtaining a lithographic printing plate; (v) printing by supplying single-fluid ink or driographic ink to the lithographic printing plate by means of the inking system. This method allows on-press processing of printing plate materials that require wet processing.

    摘要: According to the present invention there is provided a method for the preparation of a lithographic printing plate comprising the steps of exposing with IR light an imaging element comprising on a lithographic base with a hydrophilic surface a first layer including a polymer, soluble in an aqueous alkaline solution and a top layer on the same side of the lithographic base as the first layer which top layer is IR-sensitive and unpenetratable for or insoluble in an alkaline developer wherein said first layer and said top layer may be one and the same layer, said imaging element comprising a siloxane surfactant; developing said exposed imaging element with an alkaline solution; gumming said developed imaging element with a baking gum solution; subjecting said gummed imaging element to a thermal treatment at a temperature above 50° C.; characterized in that said baking gum solution contains at least one surfactant making the contact angle between the baking gum solution and the surface of the plate less than 68° and/or at least one viscosity-regulating polymer making the viscosity of the baking gum solution between 1.7 cP and 5.0 cP.
