摘要: An approach is provided for detecting and/or verifying a traffic incident (e.g., a road closure) on one of nearby paths that are susceptible to location sensor errors, digital map errors, and/or map mis-matching errors. The approach involves, for example, determining sensor data collected from one or more sensors of one or more devices traveling on either road link of the at least two road links connected at an intersection point. The approach also involves aggregating the sensor data to said either road link of at least two road links. The approach further involves filtering the sensor data based on a distance threshold from the intersection point. The approach further involves determining a traffic incident on said either road link based on the filtered sensor data.

摘要: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for dynamically detecting pedestrian activity. The method includes receiving one or more data objects from a vehicle. The one or more data objects may be processed using an image processing model to determine one or more pedestrian parameters. The method further includes determining whether the one or more pedestrian parameters satisfy one or more pedestrian parameter thresholds. In an instance the one or more pedestrian parameters do not satisfy the one or more pedestrian parameter thresholds, the method further includes causing a safety alert warning to be provided to one or more other vehicles. Corresponding apparatuses and computer program products are also provided.

摘要: A system, a method, and a computer program product may be provided for generating traffic congestion estimation data of one or more lanes in a region. A system may include a memory configured to store computer program code and a processor configured to execute the computer program code to obtain image data associated with the region. The processor may be configured to determine a count of one or more first movable objects in one or lanes, based on image data, calculate a lane object static capacity of the one or more lanes, based on one or more map free flow or speed limit attributes associated with the one or more lanes and generate the traffic congestion estimation data based on count of first movable objects in the one or more lanes, the moving speed of movable objects crossing multiple image frames, the lane object static capacity of lanes.

摘要: A method is provided to generate vehicle lane speed patterns. A method may include: receiving probe data from a plurality of probes, where the probe data includes probe data point location and heading; matching probe data points to a road segment to generate map-matched probe data points; analyzing the probe data relative to the road segment to establish a multi-modal distribution of probe data representing a distance of the probe data points from a pre-defined reference position of the road segment; matching the analyzed probe data points to individual lanes of the road segment, where peaks in the established multi-modal distribution are associated with individual lanes; and generating a vehicle lane speed pattern for each lane of the road segment based on a speed associated with probe data that is map-matched to the individual lanes.

The method includes collecting traffic flow, incident, and emergency vehicle information on a predetermined portion of a road geometry network. The method dynamically adjusts the SPaT information for a traffic light signal in the predetermined portion of the road geometry network based on the information collected, and delivers a normal or abnormal SPaT status change with the adjusted SPaT information.

A path is generated including the road intersection for the device using location data in the two or more probe reports. The path is compared to a traffic signal. An abnormal crossing is determined from the comparison. A malfunction of the traffic signal is determined based on the abnormal crossing.

摘要: A method for improved traffic congestion estimation is provided using signal phase and timing data from traffic signals at intersections and probe data from vehicles traversing said intersections. An example method may include: identifying each of a plurality of paths through an intersection; identifying signal phase and timing data for each traffic light associated with each path through the intersection; receiving probe data for vehicles approaching or traversing the intersection; estimating a number of vehicles failing to traverse the intersection along a path through the intersection; estimating a congestion status of the path through the intersection based on the number of vehicles failing to traverse the intersection; and causing the congestion status to be provided to permit updating of a map to reflect the congestion status.

摘要: A method is provided for identifying and indexing lanes of an intersection. Methods may include: determining a directionality for one or more lanes for each of two or more roadways proximate an intersection, where directionality is one of toward the intersection or away from the intersection; determining a bearing for each lane of the two or more roadways proximate the intersection, where the bearing includes a compass heading informed by the directionality; determining a lane position for each lane of the two or more roadways proximate the intersection; generating an order of the lanes using a hierarchy, where the hierarchy considers directionality first, bearing second, and lane position third; causing the generated order of the lanes to be stored in a memory, where the order of the lanes is associated with the intersection; and managing signal phase and timing of the intersection using the generated order of the lanes.

Methods may identify traffic lights controlling lane movements, cataloging the information through analysis of traffic light signal phase and timing, and analyzing traffic movement through an intersection during specific periods of time. In particular, example methods may include identifying each of a plurality of paths through an intersection; identifying states of one or more traffic lights controlling traffic through the intersection; determining vehicle throughput data for the intersection through a predetermined number of cycles of the one or more traffic lights; and matching the vehicle throughput data to each of the plurality of paths of the intersection. The method may optionally include identifying times of movement and times of non-movement of vehicles across the intersection for each of the plurality of paths.
