摘要： An LGA connector assembly (1) includes an insulative housing (10), a number of terminals (12) received in the housing, and a metal clip (40) mounted on the housing. The clip is disposed on the housing to press an LGA chip upon the terminals and has two opposite slant sides (42). The housing includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall opposite to the first sidewall. A pair of arcuately spaced protrusions is extended from an outside of the second sidewall. A pair of trapeziform-configuration blocks is formed on an edge of the corresponding protrusions. When the clip presses the LGA chip onto the terminals, the blocks can prevent the clip driving the LGA chip move upwardly relative to the housing, thereby ensuring reliable electrical connection between the LGA chip and the connector assembly.

摘要： A pick up cap (40) for carrying an LGA socket (30) is disclosed according to the present invention. The pick up cap has a major body (42) with a pair of ears (44) at opposite sides of the body. The body defines a smooth top surface (422) for being sucked by a vacuum sucking device, and a number of latches (426, 423) for detachably holding on the LGA socket. The body is formed with a number of slant faces (462, 482) to contiguously mate with slant surfaces defined on a clip (80) of the LGA socket. The mating is arranged adjacent two opposite ends of each of opposite sides (864, 866) of the clip, thereby balancing the pick up cap when the pick up cap mounted on the clip of the LGA socket is acted on by uneven exterior forces.

摘要： A pick up cap for an LGA connector, the connector has a housing which defines a multiplicity of passageways, a plurality of electrical contacts received in the passageways, a metal clip and a pick up cap. The clip defines a rectangular window in the middle thereof. Around the window there are two opposite sidepieces and two opposite urging sides. The pick up cap is detachably mounted on the clip. The pick up cap has a rectangular planar body which defines two opposite end portions and two opposite side portions. Each of the two side portions has a waist. When the pick up cap is mounted on the clip, two end portions engage with two opposite sidepieces, two opposite sidepieces and two opposite end portions cooperatively define two rifts therebetween.

When the connector is in a closed state, a distant between the handle and the PCB is greater than a distant between the operational arm and the PCB. This configuration prevents an operator's hand from being abraded or hurt.

So the pick up cap can be lifted via putting up the lever, and the pick up cap can be detached from the connector conveniently and reliably.

摘要： An LGA socket (1) includes a slab like insulative housing (11), a reinforcing plate (12) attached on an exterior surface of the housing, and a clip (14) and a lever (15). The clip and the lever are respectively mounted on two opposite ends of the housing to fasten an LGA package. The lever includes a driver portion (151), a driven portion (152) adjoining the driver portion, and a baffle (124) extending from a side of the reinforcing plate. The baffle prevents the lever from breaking away from the housing. After the LGA package is positioned on the housing, the rigidity of the housing is improved with the reinforcing plate made of rigid material being equipped on the housing. Steady electrical connection between the contacts pads of the LGA package and respective contacts of the housing is ensured.

摘要： An electrical connector assembly (1) includes a base (10), a frame (13) assembled on the base, and a fixing member (11) engaged with the base. The base defines first and second installation portions (12, 15) having first and second pivot holes (120, 121) therein. An orientation portion (1210) is formed adjacent the second installation portion, thereby defining a fastening slot (1212) therebetween. The fixing member includes an actuator lever (14) and a fastening ring (114) having an opening. The actuator lever includes an actuator (110) and an operation handle (113). When the fixing member and the base are assembled together, the actuator is installed into the base via the pivot holes, the fastening ring clasps the actuator, and the fastening ring is positioned in the fastening slot. Thus, during rotation of the actuator lever, the fastening ring enables reliable positioning of the actuator lever relative to the frame.
