摘要: The present invention relates to a method for producing an optical recording medium. In the method, on the surface of a recording layer formed by spin-coating a first coating solution containing a photo-isomerizable component, a second coating solution that contains a photo-isomerizable component that can be isomerized by radiation having the same wavelength as radiation used for isomerizing the photo-isomerizable component contained in the recording layer and incapable of dissolving the recording layer is spin-coated to form an intermediate layer. Since the intermediate layer thus formed cannot be dissolved by the first coating solution, a recording layer is further laminated on this layer. Thus, it becomes possible to make the recording layer thicker and also to provide a high-density recording characteristic.

摘要: Systems and methods for implementing back-off timing for retries of commands sent from a master device to a slave device over a split-transaction bus. One embodiment includes a buffer having entries for storing each pending command and associated information, including a number of retries of the command and a static pseudorandom timer expiration value. The timer expiration value of each entry is compared to a running counter according to a mask associated with the number of retries of the command corresponding to the entry. When the unmasked bits of the two values match, the command is retried. In one embodiment, the same portion of the buffer entry that is used to store the number of retries and the timer expiration value is alternately used to store a slave-generated tag that is received with an acknowledgment response.

摘要: An image writing system includes a display recording medium and a writer. The display recording medium includes a storage unit that stores format information, which specifies an expression format, so that the format information is readable from an outside. The display recording medium allows the image to be written rewritably thereon in accordance with a writing external force and retains displaying of the written image even after the writing external force is removed. The writer includes a reading unit, an image generating unit and a writing unit. The reading unit reads the format information from the storage unit. The image generating unit generates an image from original image data in accordance with the read format information. The writing unit applies the writing external force to the display recording medium from which the reading unit reads the format information, to write the generated image into the display recording medium.

摘要: Systems and methods for enabling a slave device to generate a tag that is an index into a buffer where the slave device stores information related to an active transaction such as a write command received by a master device. The tag is sent to the master device with a reply (such as a response to a write command received from the master device), the master device returns the tag with the data to be written to the slave device. The slave device can efficiently associate the received data with the previously sent write command by retrieving the command from the buffer using the tag as an index into the buffer. Additional hardware such as a content-addressable memory unit is not required to make the association.
