    摘要: A hydraulic dynamic pressure bearing motor has a rotational shaft mounted to undergo rotation about a rotational axis and having a shaft section and a flange section. A sleeve has a cavity for receiving the rotational shaft. A cover member is disposed over an open end of the sleeve cavity. A hydraulic dynamic pressure bearing includes minute radial and thrust clearances disposed between outer surface portions of the shaft and flange sections of the rotational shaft and inner surface portions of the sleeve and the cover member. A lubricating fluid is disposed in the minute radial and thrust clearances. The minute radial and thrust clearances are dimensioned so that during a non-rotational state of the rotational shaft, the flange section of the rotational shaft contacts preselected inner surface portions of the sleeve and the cover member while the shaft section of the rotational shaft does not contact any portion of the sleeve and an inner peripheral surface of the cover member.

    摘要: A motor rotor 10 is formed as follows: First, in a first forging step, a hum manufacturing primary block 6A is formed. Next, a second forging step B is effected to form the primary blank 6A into a secondary blank 6B. In this step, a forging die is used to secure an annular yoke 34 to the inner cylindrical surface 61a of a hub cylindrical portion 61 by punching, in such a manner that both whole edges of the annular yoke are sealingly closed thereby. In the second forging step B, by drawing the inner cylindrical surface 34a of the annular yoke, its circularity is improved. The annular yoke can be secured to the hub cylindrical portion with use of an adhesive agent. Moreover, the annular yoke can be fixed in such a manner that it is accurately coaxial with the hub cylindrical portion. In addition, the gap between the annular yoke and the hub cylindrical portion can be eliminated.

    摘要: A hard disk drive has an information recording medium that is rotationally driven for recording and/or reproducing information and a rotor hub that supports the information recording medium. The rotor hub has a flat mounting surface disposed in an outer circumferential portion thereof and on which the information recording medium is mounted so as to contact an edge portion of the mounting surface. The mounting surface is made of stainless steel containing a machineability improving additive, except for selenium and tellurium, for improving the machineability of the mounting surface. At least one of the edge portion or a portion of the mounting surface in the vicinity of the edge portion contains surface pores formed by component particles of the additive falling from the mounting surface. Each of the pores has a length less than 10 μm in a circumferential direction of the mounting surface.

    摘要: An object is to provide an information recording and playback apparatus that is capable of reducing, as much as possible, reading and writing errors caused by magnetic leakage flux on the inner peripheral side of a magnetic disk. An information recording and playback apparatus 1 includes a rotor R rotatably holding a magnetic disk 60 and being provided with a permanent magnet 51 on the outer peripheral surface; a stator core 3 fixed to a base member 2, the stator core 3 protruding to the inner side in the radial direction in such a manner as to oppose the permanent magnet 51, the stator core 3 including a plurality of stator poles 3a around which coils 3b are wound; a shield plate 70 disposed between the magnetic disk 60 and the stator core 3 in such a manner as to cover the stator core 3 and to have a small gap 62 between the rotating body R, the shielding plate 70 blocking magnetic flux from the permanent magnet 51 and the stator core 3; and a magnetic head 61 for carrying out recording and playback of the magnetic disk 60 by moving forward and backward between the shield plate 70 and the magnetic disk 60. The magnetic head 61 moves forward and backward on the stator poles 3a.

    摘要: The generation of bubbles can be suppressed by enabling a stable supply of working fluid to a dynamic pressure generating groove, and oscillation at the time of rotation and leakage of working fluid can be prevented effectively by efficiently releasing any bubbles generated. There is provided a fluid dynamic pressure bearing 1 provided with an annular dynamic pressure generating face 17 made by forming a dynamic pressure generating groove, which draws a working fluid 14 toward a midway position in the radial direction from the inside and outside of a thrust bearing plate 13 in the radial direction, when a shaft 10 and a housing 11 are rotated relative to each other about the axis, on thickness direction end faces 13a, 13b of the thrust bearing plate 13, or on an inner surface of the housing 11, and an inner groove section 16, which is located on an inner peripheral side thereof and that is depressed more than the dynamic pressure generating face 17 in the thickness direction, on the end faces 13a, 13b.     摘要: The opening of an oil container 11 for storing oil 12 is sealed airtight with a cover member 32. A one-sided-bag-shaped fluid dynamic pressure bearing 10 is seated on an O-ring 25 and fixed airtight onto the upper surface of a bearing seating 30. Inanexhaust position with the distal end portion of an injection tube 36 positioned away from an oil level, the inside of the oil container 11 is evacuated by a vacuum pump 22 through a suction/exhaust passage including a suction/exhaust through-hole 17, thus turning the inside of the one-sided-bag-shaped fluid dynamic pressure bearing (10) into a vacuum. In this state, a control device drives a moving device to raise the oil container 11 to an injection position and releases the suction/exhaust passage to the atmosphere. This causes the oil 12 to be injected into the one-sided-bag-shaped fluid dynamic pressure bearing 10 through an oil injection passage including the injection tube 36.
